Highly recommend utilizing Optavise as your benefits adviser if you are a business owner or have a decision in the benefits offerings at your workplace. The agents are super knowledgeable about their products, the claims process is usually easy and well explained and they can adapt their offerings, and carriers, based on what you'll need specifically for yourself or your employees. Great advocacy, consistent information presented regardless of the agent that you speak with and a positive enrollment experience.

when I signed on to optavise it looked promising. I confirmed with the state manager that I would be able to make a minimum of 50k (the contract stated 60k-80k), he assured me it would be no issue at all and in fact would be doing me a disservice if I did not hit that. so, with that info I moved down south for the position promised this job would be in the metro. it was not, this job makes you drive to all corners of the state for no promise of money. I've learned from an acquaintance that they went through the same ordeal nothing but fibs. These places that they have you go to are dry and have been being worked for years (no new staff). and they make no effort to try and help you new group or support you in any sense and infact other agents will even try to steal your prospects and flip your business. The hours are erratic and in fact I was put on (self-scheduling) permanently because I refused to drive 90 miles away and work a graveyard shift at a veterans affairs from 10pm-6am. I have been with these guys for 5 months and I've maybe made 3k, I was only ever scheduled once a week. I've followed their script to ***. they tell you that sign on bonus is not for living but is exclusively for you to build your gift display??? to just hand to prospects for free. management is ******** and gets defensive when you ask them practical questions. in my time here 11 agents have come and went. my state only has 4 people and 2 of them are managers. Please save yourself the grief and avoid these guys (Washington national) and their other branches, I have racked up an insane amount of debt trying to make this job work. go with any other company. literally any other one.
