    On July 19, 2023 I purchased a photography session online from Ashley Bowen Photography, also doing business as Ashley Schmeltzer Photography. The session was for $149 dollars. According to the sale, I was to receive a family session of photos. I emailed the photographer before purchasing to express interest. She sent the payment link. I paid online and have the invoice. Immediately after paying, I reached out to the photographer to schedule a date. She was very vague and said she would get back to me (7/19 & 7/20/23). I gave it several months (10/2023) before I reached out again. I received an automated vacation message and was told when the photographer returned from vacation, they would reach out. They did not. I reached out again (12/2023) and was given another vague response in terms of scheduling ("Let me check my calendar"). I have email proof of these discussions. Today, I have decided that I no longer want to work with this photographer under any terms. She is avoiding conversations about refunding the money stating that when she has tried to contact me, the emails she sends to me get sent back. She has all of my pertinent contact information but has not tried to call if email was not working to schedule a session and make this situation right.

    This lady is a train wreck. We did a mini session for Christmas with delivery near 12/4. Pictures were taken 11/4,I reached out at 4 week mark to see if she had an eta. No response. Have reached out multiple times and multiple ways and she ghosts you. I want my money back or I will file fraud

    Paid for a mini session on 10/15, photographer had not responded to emails confirming scheduling, asked for a refund on 11/13 and have not been contacted.

    I paid a $75 deposit for a photo shoot of my son which was supposed to take place on April 30. The day of the photo shoot, the photographer texted me and said she had to reschedule. Over the next couple of months, I tried to reach her to set up the photo shoot, and I did not get a response. I finally posted on her Facebook page that I was trying to reach her and she emailed me. I asked for a refund of the $75 deposit, because it had been months past the date we were supposed to do the photos. She responded and said there were no refunds.

    On July 12, 2023, I prepaid Ashley Bowen Photography for a flower garden photo shoot that was scheduled for Sept. 2, 2023. A few days before the shoot, I contacted *** ***** to confirm the location and details. It was then she informed me she had made plans to go out of town, despite our appointment being booked almost two months earlier. She also told me the flower garden location was no longer available. It was the only location I wanted.

    On Sept. 5, I asked for a refund of my prepayment. I said I could take the refund by credit card, Paypal or Venmo. On Sept. 6, she said she would issue a refund, but she never did. I contacted her again on Sept. 13, Sept. 18 and Sept. 21 with no response.

    I want my money back. I did business with *** ***** in the past and am disappointed by how she has treated me this time.

    We had our daughters newborn pictures taken on 5/11 by Ashley Bowen Photography. First off, when we showed up for our pictures she told me I came on the wrong day, I explained that I was there on the correct day and I had an email to prove that. She asked if I could come back in a few hours since she was already with another client. I agreed to come back in a couple hours since I had my mom there to help me (she drove 2 hours to help us since I was just a week out from having a ********* and couldn’t lift ****** ** *****.) After coming back she apologized and said she had written it down incorrectly and that she would give us a couple extra print credits to make up for the confusion. Before leaving I asked what her turn around time was, she said 3-4 weeks.
    Fast forward to 4 weeks later we hadn’t received our pics so I sent her a message via email just asking for an update. I never got a reply. I sent 4 more emails, a couple texts, and a message on her Facebook messenger starting on June 8th and never got a reply until July 12th. In that reply she said she was working on uploads and that I would get them that week. We never got them! Sent her more emails and messages ***** also tried messaging her and never got a reply until this past Tuesday. She replied “Hey sweetie! I’m sorry!! I am just catching up on my messages from last week. I thought these were uploaded. Let me check on this! Again I apologize!”Here we are 12 weeks later and I still don’t have my pictures and she isn’t messaging me back!
    It wouldn’t bother me as badly if she would just keep me updated on why she is running so behind. **Also I’d like to point out that I have gotten about 20 emails from her business in this time advertising her specials she is running so I know she is working** I finally got my pictures, and I did not receive what I paid for- i paid for the full package (35+ photos) and I got 12 different ones.
