    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. 

    Not a single word of his response is truthful. Attached is a text from max that specifically says that we did not agree on the extra 49 sheets of plywood. How a business can provide extra services that we did not agree on and then try to charge us is completely beyond me. There was no charged estimates. He provided us with one estimate. When I gave them the cashiers check he agreed that it was in the full amount owed. There was absolutely no communication about submitting anything to insurance for the extra materials that they took the liberty to install on my house. It is completely obvious that max did this job off the books and is trying to extort us for more money.

    MY NAME IS ********* *******(max) ok we help this customers to make insurance pay for all the roof replacement because of hail damaged I went there 3 times to do inspections, after insurance pay for all the roof replacement they call me and ask me to given an estimate that not was the deal we have with ***** as a man he tell me hes wife is going to deal with the insurance and told him really clear like if something happen I not will help them and ***** **** me one more to tell me like someone given a better price and I told him I dont have a problem to you not given us the job but you have to pay me a fees of my time for the 3 times I came to inspections then we finished our conversation and days later he call me said the job is yours on my estimate I especify what is including and materials detailed.

    when we start to tear-off I see a lot it decking boards damaged I talked ***** and told him to call his insurance company to explain that ,I told him we need to replace over 50 sheets osb 7/16 he told to go ahead and them a recieved a text telling me to send pictures to insurance how I will deal with insurance if they take the responsibility to taken care the claim he told me hes wife knows what to do thats why I dont get involved with insurance anymore we can do an inspection to show inside the attic to see all the new decking boards was replaced they put this complaint when I ask ***** for the rest of the money for 49 sheets I cover 7 sheets is in my estimate I just charge him the extra 49 I dont know how they expecting to get all that materials and work for free also ***** was there 80% of the time with hes little girl watching all the plywood we removed if you have any questions feel free to contact me at *************

    Here are a few examples of the roof and the Chimney cap not actually done to finish. The response from Maximond Roofing has a few true comments and the rest is nothing but lies. The comment regarding not going in to check for more damage and I did not allow because of my dog is a bold face lie. ********************* came into my garage and I had the stairs pulled down for him to go up in the attic. He did not go up all the way, he seems to allow others to do all the work. He assured me the crew (if you can call it a crew) would make the necessary repairs when the roof was done. The comment regarding another company and me not being happy with the results of what they reviewed and my warranty is another lie. As far as my warranty being voided I wouldnt call them to do anything if there was an issue since they did such a horrible job I didnt allow them to come do more damage because clearly they did damage to my home.  Prior to ********************* and the estimate I had another quote from a company that was booked up for several months because they do not outsource crews as Maximond obviously does. ********************* did make the comment he could get me more and I should allow him to approach my insurance. The Truth of the matter is Maximond like many others prefer Insurance work because they make a lot more money and they use their best crew so they can get paid. I already handled with my Insurance all they would cover and the damage on my siding I had to not repair because the age of my roof did not allow for replacement due to the age of the roof. ***************** was not involved with my Insurance claim and if he were he would have known specifics of the claim. I made a claim on my home and have replacement value, however the Roof was not covered in the claim on my fence, siding and fascia damaged on my detached garage the ********************* never looked at because he was not ask for a quote, a favor, an anything other than to do the work which his bogus contract states the wood would be replaced if damaged. I fully was aware wood needed  replaced because the other company actually walked on the roof when they quoted the job. As ************** states she did some type of estimate herself. ************* did not have an appointment when he showed up to my home as I was working, unannounced. He didnt leave or ever mail a final billing. Unless he is blind he saw how crappy the roof looked and yes I was upset seeing how poorly this job was done. I did say to leave and that he was not authorized to touch anything or even be on my property.. I requested proof of Insurance that was never sent. He claims they are insured and bonded but I believe that is another of ****** plenty of lies, he cant tell the truth and no proof of Insurance was ever provided. There are nails under the roofing and places pop up all over. All the photos are from no more than a week of the install. He did not get the final check because each day the roof look worse as the heat of the summer adhered the shingles to the roof the damaged wood not replaced that we talked about the day of quote was not listed on the estimate because he didnt know how many would be required. I agreed on the contract to $65 per sheet needed. I had no reason to think it wouldnt be replaced since another business owner told me about him and how he got him all kinds of new roof and gutters on his insurance claim. He wasnt paying out the Insurance company was so he has no clue what ***** does to people who are self pay. The quote was not for Insurance and it was known that I was to self pay. Had the job been completed correctly he would have been paid in full. I had this roof replaced longer ago than ***** has been in the business. He never once got on a ladder at my home.  

    I am requesting that my $3,500 be refunded.

    attempted to Cap the Chimney. The check wasn't picked up that day and it was hot outside. ********************* called to ask about meeting me for the balance due. My Reply to him was that he needed to look at this Roof, the Wood was not replaced and this Roof has no value this way. He immediately lied to me and said it was replaced, I said no it was not there is the same big dip in the wood. It was very obvious it was the same wood covered up with new shingles. ************* immediately told me he would place a Lien on my Property. The Roof looked bad after two days and the heat but the following two weeks show Shingles curling up. It has been on for a little over 60 days and Shingles are peeling up all over the Roof, some areas appear to have something under the Shingles. The Quality of work was horrible and the job has no Value. The entire Roof has to be replaced and will be replaced but not by this company. They sent the Crew they don't have working on Insurance claims and because I am female I was taken advantage of.

    Here is what happened with the *********************** customer:

    *********************** reached us by a referral from *********************. We scheduled the original appointment on July 24, 2023 at 4:30pm. ***** arrived at this appointment that was scheduled for a roof quote. I noticed that the roof was consistent with storm related damages and mentioned if she would like to venture the insurance route and also noticed it on siding. That is when she said She would pay for it out of pocket because she had already tried to get the insurance to pay for damages, but she said they denied her claim and she didn't want to pursue it.  During inspection I requested if I could see the interior to make sure there were no damages, but she declined the opportunity because of her dog. I used Eagleview to pull the digital measurements of the roof and provided her with a PDF version estimate for the total amount of $7,537.50. She agreed to the estimate, we scheduled for the roof to be done and she put down a 50% deposit of $3500.00. Maximond Company came to her house to complete the contracted work in scope. We finished the job in one day. The next day, July 29, 2023, she reached out to ********************* via text message to ask him when he wanted to pick up the final payment. She mentioned she had some errands to run and I told her no problem. I would be a few more hours finishing up other work and that we could meet after the errands. ****** responded back, great that working the truss was the only question she had at that time. She also mentioned that the crew did a great job cleaning up and everything looks great. I never heard anything back that day as to when she got home so I was expecting that she got busy and would reach out the following day. On Monday, I sent her a text message asking when I could stop by to pick up the final payment and she responded anytime between 7am-3pm she would be available at her house to release the final payment. My schedule on Monday didn't allow time to pick up the payment, so on Tuesday she mentioned that she wouldn't be able to make the payment until the following weekend and she also mentioned that she wanted me to come take a look at a dip in the roof. She also mentioned that she was going to have her friends re-install the gutter guards and started mentioning she noticed the roof was popping up in areas. I scheduled a meeting to address all issues, she said she needed to head out by 3:15 that day, so I arrived at 1:25pm. I knocked on her door to drop off the final invoice and address her concerns. She said she was leaving soon for a funeral and was in training the rest of the week so wasn't able to facilitate the meeting. She said that she had her roof checked out by another roofing company, which in turn voids your warranty. She stated that there were 3 sheets of decking that should have been replaced. Each time our standard, which is in every contract we execute, is to evaluate the decking to make sure the surface integrity is met with manufacturers specifications. She called out a roofing company to evaluate the newly installed roof, the company she called stated everything looks down correctly. She was not happy with that response. The roofing company asked which company installed the roof, she said Maximond Company, and that roofing company stated that "Maximond is a great company and does many roofs for me as well." At that point, she asked him to get off her property and to leave because she was not in agreement with his evaluation. She then accused our company that we didn't have a job ******* on the site, which is incorrect we had *****************. We told her that we wanted to do whatever to try to appease the situation, but at this point there seemed to be no pleasing her because she had lacked all faith at this point. She started complaining about products like drip edge that must be used according to the county codes and manufacturers specifications.At this point she was just trying to nitpick everything, her expectations were just unreasonable. I have been in this industry for over 14 years and I've seen customers who are reasonable and understanding and I've also seen customers try to manipulate the situation for their own gain. Maximond Company takes pride in our relationships with our customers and looks at them like family. We don't take it lightly when we have a disgruntled customer and do everything in our power to try to validate the concerns and create a solution. We came to a road block due to the lack of being able to come to an agreement. We had no other options but to take a legal route. Everything in our contract was completed. If she would like the trusses done we would be more than happy to create a change order  like we told her before. We would expect to be paid for the balance due and the change order.

    We reached out to the homeowner several times to resolve the issue, unfortunately she has declined to allowing us to fix the issues of her concerns by denying access to the property. At this point she is tying our hands by not allowing for any sort of resolution. We would be willing to provide all of our credentials to her (insurance, license and bonds) if she is interested in seeing them. We really take pride in our work and in our community. Saying that we only like to do insurance work without any sort of evidence is just slander. From time to time, we will even go out of our way to help the people in poverty by providing free services when needed. We follow all manufacturers specifications and all state code. I apologize for the way that she feels and would love nothing more than to resolve this issue, but if she is not willing our hands are tied. The only next step would be the legal route.
