    Heartland promised to cancel my timeshare and if they did not, they would refund the money. They then disappeared-the website no longer exists, the other website listed is bogus. I have no way to reach these people to recover for a service they said they would provide but did not.

    On May 17, 2020 we entered into a contractual agreement with Heartland Transfer to assist and release us from our commitment to a timeshare with two properties. An upfront fee of $4,590.00 was charged and was to include all subsequent charges affiliated with the process of exiting the timeshare except for the Transfer Fee, which we did pay. Also as part of the agreement, Heartland Transfer agreed that "IF 2021 MF (maintenance fee) need to be paid, HT will split cost with client." We did in fact have to pay the 2021 MF to the timeshare and half those fees would be $892.03. Heartland Transfer did in fact release us of all commitment to the timeshare resorts, but it took until 2022. Heartland Transfer invoked the services of ****** Law Firm to work with Club Exploria to process this transfer of ownership. We were required to pay $642.00 up front directly to ****** Law Firm of which *************************** verbally promised to reimburse us in order to expedite the process. On August 15, 2022, we received confirmation the ownership of our two deeds had been successfully transferred, I reached out to *************************** via telephone, text, and email to make arrangements for these monies to be refunded. December 1, 2022 *************************** responded to me via email and committed to a payment plan beginning with $500.00 in January 2023. To date no monies have been received. Multiple telephone, text, and emails have been sent by me with NO response. I am requesting the full amount of $1,534.03 be paid in full to resolve our contractual business relationship.

    On 6/7/2018 an agreement was signed between my *********** with Heartland Transfer to either cancel or transfer our *************'s (owned by Exploria Resorts) 4 weeks of timeshare. This agreement also states "Money Back Guarantee" and that we would only have to pay maintenance fees for one year. On 8/21/2020 there was a deed recorded for the new buyer. The owner & one of their affiliate's attorney told us that we were no longer owners and no longer financially responsible for any timeshare fees from that date forward. At that time we thought great finally!The reason we're contacting you is twofold: 1) we have not been reimbursed for the maintenance fees paid after the one year timeframe but more importantly 2) It looks as though they never completed the necessary steps with the timeshare company to remove us from the timeshare records, because we have been sent a notice of debt collection for the accumulated amount of fees due after the 8/21/2020 (sale of ownership) to date for over $7000.We have not been able to speak with the owner (or anyone else) since we asked for reimbursement of the fees; and now to discuss this additional issue because they will not return any of our calls or emails. We don't want to get a lawyer but will if needed. Please can you help us?

    We are looking into the matter regarding the notice of an incomplete title transfer and expect to have an answer back from the resort and county recorder's office.

     I am rejecting this response because: They gave a stall tactic answer. Which is their usual response. According to their contract this transaction should have been completed in one year or they will pay us back and we are now going on 4 plus years. We have been more than patient, enough is enough. They have known about this problem for over 2 years and contractually should have been completed years ago. How long does it take for them to "look into" this issue when they should have been looking into it all along, this is not new to them, they've been aware of all the issues. We have done 100% of our part as well as trying to communicate with them but they have cut off all communications with us and have not completed the transaction fully; therefor are in breach of their own contract. Also, I believe they can't complete it and don't want to pay to resolve the problem as per the contract. Please let us know what additional action we may take.

    The issue with this complaint is NOT whether Heartland Transfer did in fact, fulfill the obligations under our written agreement to legally and permanently transfer their timeshare.  Attached please find a copy of the Recorded Deed. The issue is with the timeshare resort's new management company who is unlawfully trying to deny it.
