Ideal Builders sealed my driveway after power washing some areas and after the sealant was settled it has left streaks and the drive way looks embarrassing. They kept telling me to let the sun fade it but it still looks bad. I have called and spoken to ***** multiple times and now Im being ghosted as I want it fixed and either the sealant taken off and cleaned or redone. ***** has taken pictures I have sent pictures and nothing responses for over 7 weeks.

    Business Response

Our team has collaborated closely with Mr. ***** to address the cosmetic concerns raised. In response, we conducted a thorough power wash and re-seal of the concrete in October 2022. This was done to enhance the appearance and longevity of the driveway.
We adhere to the *************** Assurance Builder Standards guide regarding concrete staining. As noted in the guide, When a liquid enters concrete, it can seep from top to bottom or bottom to top. A stain may appear from underneath the surface, even if nothing was spilled upon the top surface of the concrete. With this understanding, we have communicated to Mr. ***** that the fading of stains is a natural process that occurs over time.
While we strive to meet and exceed our clients expectations, we must also operate within reasonable means. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused and assure our clients that we are committed to providing the best possible service.
    Thank you

I am rejecting this response because: As you can see from the photos attached, the driveway was power washed but not fully and only in places. The driveway was not allowed to fully dry leaving the streaks. This needs fully cleaned and resealed.

We understand the dissatisfaction with our initial stance and value the investment and faith you placed in us.

As a gesture of goodwill and in an effort to find a middle ground, we propose to strip the existing sealer from your driveway, power wash the surface, and re-seal it at no additional cost to you.

While we cannot guarantee that this will resolve the issue to your satisfaction, it is our final attempt to address this matter.

If ******** agrees with the proposed action, we will coordinate directly with him to schedule the necessary work. Additionally, we will continue to reference the *************** Assurance Builder Standards guide regarding concrete staining and the general treatment of concrete. We are happy to provide you with a copy.

As noted in the guide, When a liquid enters concrete, it can seep from top to bottom or bottom to top. A stain may appear from underneath the surface, even if nothing was spilled upon the top surface of the concrete.

We value your business and are committed to building trust and quality in every home. We look forward to restoring your confidence in our services.
    Best regards,
