We purchased a used vehicle from Wiers Chevrolet on 2/20/24. We took out a loan with our credit union. The credit union would only cover 115% of the estimated value of the vehicle so we still paid $1500 out of pocket to purchase the vehicle. One week after we purchased the vehicle, the transmission was completely broken. My fiance was working in ******** at the time and a GMC dealership there told him the transmission was blown and that he should contact the dealership he purchased it from since it had only been one week. Wiers told us they needed to look at the vehicle. So we paid $850 to have it towed to ******* (Wiers). They said the same thing, that the transmission was blown. They said that we bought the vehicle as is so they could only help us with the costs but it would still cost us $3000 to get it fixed. I know that youre always taking a risk when buying a used vehicle but for something so major to happen one week after purchase is ridiculous. And now they want us to pay more after we had to pay to have it towed. Basically, we bought a $20k truck from a dealership and then one week later, we paid another $850 to have it towed and now the dealership wants another $3000 to have it run again. We cant afford the $3000 so we basically bought a truck that doesnt run.

We communicated with our customer regarding options for repair of their vehicle.  The dealership absorbed a little over half of the expense in repair and the customer accepted the offer.  The vehicle has been repaired and the customer is in possession of the vehicle.

Purchased certified pre owned vehicle.1. Infotainment system was buggy. Was told normal for car after sitting. Would be normal in a day or so. Was fine and passed 172 point inspection.Did not resolve. On appointment 2 at another ***** dealer. Will be with without vehicle over night. Then will will be without vehicle in 1 week again to complete repairs.Dealership doing repairs said it would not be possible to certify the car with the issue and theres no way they would themselves. This is the core issue.2. Had to replace windshield wipers on day 3-5.3. After about **** days I noticed a squeaking noise coming from the rear wheels/brakes when initially beginning to drive.I reached out to the selling dealership asking to have another 172 inspection done at their expense by the dealership conducting repairs. I feel this is fair, very little to ask for, and given the issues would restore my questions about the vehicle. I also feel it should be done for the selling dealerships benefit so they can have faith that this was a rare failing on behalf of their mechanic doing the certification and inspection and not a larger issue of incompetence. This is however if it was a one off occurrence and not how this dealership regularly conducts business.
