I had surgery on my right femur on October 11, 2022. After being in the hospital for several days, they sent me to rehab at symphony of Dyer. When the social worker came in, I said to him I am not going to have to pay anything am I? He told me no that I wouldnt have to pay anything. I told him I thought I do I I just want to go home that I cant afford to stay. After a week or two I asked him again when he came to my room I told him again if I have to pay anything I want to go home and insured me again that I would not have to pay anything. After a few weeks, I was told they were waiting for approval from the insurance. I told him again well if theyre not gonna pay the whole thing I want to go home. I called the office to find out if the insurance had approved yet. She said they were waiting on approval from the insurance. I told her again if I am going to have to pay anything I want to go home I cannot afford it. A few months after I was out of rehab, I got a bill from them for $3008. I feel that it is unfair that I am being charged for this when I told them over and over that if I had to pay anything I want to go home. I have set up payment arrangements with them for now, but I dont feel that I owe them anything after being told that I would not have to pay anything. That is misrepresentation on their part. I feel it is not fair that I am having to pay this large sum of money to them after me telling them that I could not afford this. I. Since this was when they came to my room, and when I talk to someone over the phone, I do not have any papers showing that this was said, but I didnt realize that I would need it in writing. I trusted them.
