    I called the answer man on the east side July 2, 2024. The lady answered told me to bring my car in Tuesday, July 8, 2024 early morning so they could diagnose it. I had an issue with my check engine light on and my battery stalling I also have a hardtop convertible that will not open. I dropped the car off Monday night and had to get a rental to pay for pocket. I called them. They still haven’t gotten to the car Wednesday morning I called again nobody answered, so I went down there and they still haven’t got to it, but said they took a peek at it, I wanted it back because the Mechanic is having issues! I said OK fine! They did not call me or communicate with me through any of these two days! I had a rental car and the guy told me I could not park it on the property to take my car! I parked at the gas station next-door when I’m walking up to the office they are laughing because now the top won’t close. I had to do the manual so I closed it to where the beeping went off, but There is a gap where it won’t close all the way completely when that wasn’t the issue. When I brought the car they make it worse. They thought it was funny! I’m out for the rental car and time I’ve had to takeoff work! I’m a single mom And didn’t have time to take off work and get the runaround for two days about something they were supposed to get done in one day! It’s not even about the money at this point it’s about the lack of communication and them not caring at all that they made it worse for me to have to deal with!

    Dear Ms *****,  so sorry it's taken so long to respond but your letter was being sent to the Answer Man Auto Repair instead of us.  We are The Answer Auto Repair East and we received your complaint 9/3/24.  Regarding your complaints with your car we are very sorry we didn't get the diagnostic completed during your timeframe.  We offer free diagnostics but some complaints take longer than others to diagnose.  Your complaint with the convertible top was one of those.  Other shops will charge upwards of $180 for diagnostics.  Since we offer that for no cost we do however need it dropped off. Sometimes that diagnostic may take a few days.  There must've been a miscommunication that you weren't aware of this. The other issue of our office laughing at you, we don't laugh at our customers.  I'm sorry if you felt that was about you.  We didn't charge you for any diagnostics.
