      *Please think twice before banking with Liberty federal credit union* they have charged me ****$ just this year in “courtesy fees”. Due to inflation among other things I have been struggling to manage my finances this year. I’ve perpetually been over drafted in my accounts even though I make close to **** a year. I went in the branch in desperation hoping they could help me. I told Hannah the representative that I was drowning and feel like Liberty is furthering my debt charging me 100s of dollars In overdraft fees, holding my deposits for days after deposit, and forcing through automatic payments while delaying card charges which always results in my account going into the negatives. When I asked if there was anything they could do she said “at my managers discretion we MAY be able to refund ***$ of the **** we’ve charged you. ” a measly 5% of the charges. I was flabbergasted. I told her Friday I planned to close my account and her only response was “yeah that’s probably a good idea”. These people are ruthless and do not care about their customers or their wellbeing.

      Laziest bank possible, don't want to do their jobs. A customer was going to buy a vehicle from me. Every other bank or dealer I have dealt with will have me write a check to them for the difference of the sale price and what is owed. Have me sign a form releasing the title to them. The send the full amount to the finace company, the finace company sends the new bank the title. Done and over with. Not this bank, they want to have me do all the work. They want to write me and the finace company a check for the sale price. Have me write a check to the finace company. Then wants me to go to the post office, mail both checks to the finace company. Then wait for the title to come, sign the title and then have to meet the buyer.

      They’ll harass you very soon if your payment is slightly late, and harass workplaces and family members without consent multiple times over

      We can’t g get anyone to call us back about our truck title. We have had the loan with them for two years. They have completely ghosted us.

      We're trying to find 2 checks for 2005 and they keep giving me the same answer. They only go back 7 years 7 years is not that long and I disagree w it.

      I apologize. Regulations do require check copies be kept 7 years; however, we maintain a record of all transactions. We can provide you with a copy of your account statements showing each of the checks clearing your account if you would like?

      The customer service at this institution is embarrassing. They are rude, dismissive, and do not communicate with one another. I have been berated through email, text, and phone calls for falling behind in payments. I have explained my situation dozen of times and make partial payments every month. The Princeton branch even contacted my mother, who has no connection to my account at all. I talked to several representatives several different times and was told there were no financial hardship programs or anything they could do to help. They finally threatened to take legal action and take money out of my paycheck. When I called to once again explain my situation, I was finally told there was a reage program I could apply for. After I applied, I received even more phone calls, emails, and texts threatening legal action. I tried to make my monthly payment today and since I'm behind on my account, they've locked my online banking and are charging a $10 processing fee to pay over the phone. I will be paying off my account and closing it as soon as possible. Please do not finance anything with this bank.

      If I could give them a zero star rating I would. I have had nothing but issues with the people in customer service positions. Recently I spoke with a woman named Megan in the auto loan asset protection department and she was extremely rude and dismissive towards us. We had unexpected expenses come out due to my husbands father passing and before I even finished my sentence as to why our payment was late she cut me off and said "there's nothing we can do for you, you're just going to have to make the payment" THEN She refused to take my payment because it wasn't the full amount even after I had told her I would be making the remainder of the entire payment in 3 days after the weekend. After all of this I asked to speak with her supervisor and she refused to let me speak with anyone except her because (in her words) " I am the one who was assigned this account so I will be handling everything". I have never felt like less of a human or been spoken to in such a degrading way as I have after speaking with her. It is 100% safe to say that if you get a loan through them, even if you're one month past due, they will talk to you as if your a piece of crap for not paying on time. I will also be emailing her supervisor as well as the chairman of the credit union because the way she spoke with us was completely unacceptable. I understand having a job to do and getting that job done, but there is zero reason to speak to anyone is such a way I was spoken too. She constantly had a sassy attitude, wouldn't let me finish speaking before she starting talking. Overall she was easily one of the worst people I have ever encountered, and that says a lot considering I worked in a maximum security prison.

      I've tried to call them three times now and every time i do a different person just talks over and derogatively to me. Terrible customer service. Don't finance anything through them unless you want headaches and nonsense any time you need to call them for help or questions about your loan.
