I visited AD back in December to get x-rays and an examination of my wisdom teeth. Following, I was told the top needed to be removed. Iapplied and accepted a payment plan through Concora. I was told it was going to be approximately $800 and somee odd dollars.

I decided to get sedated and called prior to my appointment to add that to the bill. The day of my appointment, I was unable to get sedated. No one at the North Green river location gave me pre-operation instructions. Due to that, I had a banana 6 hours beforehand. So, I was given the option to either be numbed and do it awake, or reschedule to a location hours away - weeks later. I decided to do it with just the numbing shots.

I was having a full blown panic attack (I have dental anxiety) and the man who was suppose to be the anesthesiologist was an absolute nightmare. He lacked compassion or just plain decency. But the main thing is, the dentist came in and removed both teeth in under 30 seconds. Great, right? I thought so too. Not only that, but the surgeon cut all the way to the tooth next to the one removed and has exposed the roots to it. This will lead to tooth decay. It should have wither been closed up or I should have been given post-op instructions. I received neither.

When I received my first bill, I was absolutely blown away. I mean, it was almost $1300 more than what I was quoted and approved of.

I called and they could give me no information. The oral surgeon who performed the extraction coded it as a complicated oral surgery. That couldn't be further from the truth. Like I said, he removed them within 30 seconds. Not only that, I was never credited for the amount the sedation would have cost me. I'm being scammed and I feel helpless.

On April 19th I went to the Aspen Dental for emergency services. I was due to have knee surgery on April 24 and had to have dental work done to pull 2 rotten teeth before I could have the surgery. I had been to this dentist once previously and they said it would be over $7000 dollars to do everything I needed to do and tried to convince me to take out one of their loans. When I went on the 19th, I told them I only needed the 2 teeth pulled which they said would be a little over $700 and told me my insurance would not cover the work. They also said I had to have intense cleaning and descaling before and 3 months after surgery or they couldn't give me the release I needed for surgery. They said the cost was almost $3000 and I would have to take the loan out before they would do the work. A month later I received a statement from my insurance showing everything they were billed, what they paid, and what I owed, which was less than $300. I have asked for a itemized statement from Aspen several times to which they reply they can't access that information right now. I need to know where this $2800 loan money is and if not correctly billed or used they need to send back to loan company or send directly to me so I can pay it back to the loan company.
