I need a $1300 salt cell replaced on my pool which is covered by my home warranty. Aqua Care says they can't get salt cells this year. The owner left my house and say let's try the power supply first. I asked if he could test the salt cell like **** **** can. They said they had never heard of that. I took the salt cell to **** **** to be tested and it is in fact bad a needs to be replaced. I called the Home Warranty company and they said the claim was denied because Aqua Care said it was the power supply which is not covered. Aqua Care is just guessing at what's wrong and is essentially blocking the Home Warranty company from using a different vendor to fix my pool.

This is not exactly what happened. His warranty company contacted us to give them a diagnosis of what was wrong with his pool. We went out and the salt generator (power supply) was not working. There were not any lights on it working. Mike told the owner he would need a new power supply. Mike also told him that he would start with the power supply than the cell because it is the cheaper way to go. His generator was tripping his breaker. I called to American Home Shield to start the claim and American Home Shield told me they do not cover the Salt Generator and The Cell. I contacted the customer and let him know they denied the claim.
I also told him to use chlorine tablets to keep his pool sanitized. I also explained that if he needed a salt cell replace that we are not able to get them .... the are made out of the country and we are not able to get any at this time.
