    I had Storm Guard come and do work on my home. The insurance company sent them money that should have been sent to me. My account is in the negative because I paid the bill with the money I received from the Insurance Company. One of the checks did not clear and the amount was removed in the amount of $2700.00. The insurance company has been trying to contact them to give me that amount back and they are not responding. They knew my check was for more than they should have gotten after they received the check. They have stolen $2700.00 and I would like it back. My account is now in the negative because of this by almost $900.00. I am on SSI and only receive money once a month. I cannot pay my mortgage payment because there is nothing there to pay it with.

    This is not accurate. This was not an insurance contract. The contract made between the said homeowner and the contractor was done on a retail basis. They were well aware of the cost of the project in the said contract which was fulfilled and didn't change. Any correspondence with the homeowner and the insurance company is between them.
