The tree in question is the neighbor's sixty foot Maple tree with a trunk that is six feet away from the edge of customer's property.  We cut it back as much as we felt comfortable - on customer's side only.  We did not want to cause damage to the health of the tree and we had to be mindful of each neighbor's legal rights.  When a tree is that size, if the wind blows in the right direction, any limb can come down.  The last one that fell actually blew from the neighbor's side and landed in customer's yard.  The only thing that will prevent limbs from falling in the future, is to remove the tree entirely.
