***** impressed me on our prompt initial visit. He had fired all his employees and was starting over on his own. He started right to work on the power washing. I paid him the $450 on 5/5.He could see some staining and talked about doing it over. The list of jobs included, preserving the finish on the porch and gazebo floors, painting my front door and trim as well as the trim around the new garage doors. Unfortunately, we had not discussed color and I was assuming it would remain neutral. It was bright orange when I got home The house is gray and the shutters are burgundy. ***** offered to redo the floors if I paid for the extra materials ($200) The flat red door was okay and I did not mention the light blue trim as I was too overwhelmed by the orange. I also did not realize how bad the orange spots were all over the siding and everything else too near the sprayer. He did redo the floors with the charcoal. He was painting well after dark on May 11. We had already talked about returning to do a second coat and touch **** I wrote him out a check for $1500.. I told him that I would be in ** and to please text me. He did not.I began texting him on 5/20 and 21 to get him to come back and look at the issues I was having with all the orange spots. He was too busy to come back. His only solution was to send one of his workers back! The material he used is now too thick and can be flaked off with a fingernail. (attached pictures) ****** solution was to block me from contacting him. He accused me of playing games, said he was done with me! He finally agreed to return the materials I paid for but he has not. ***** did not have the skill to do the porch. I am not unreasonable. This could have been a learning experience for him. He could have asked someone in the know how to do this kind of job as I know he was into dry wall. I don't want anyone else to have to go through what I have and hope he can admit he made a mess of things.
