*Initial deposit of $500 11/17/21 with ********************* *12/9/21 told ***** wedding was off and needed to cancel *12/17/21 was told, per the owner, deposit was non-refundable but date could be moved or pay 1/4th of the total invoice April '22 touched base with ***** about using the facility for a graduation party instead, date 7/16/23 Jan '23 informed of *****'s retirement. First interaction with ************************* 3/8/23 spoke with **** about party 3/24/23 emailed Cami questions about changes and finalizing event details. No response 3/29/23 sent follow up email, made phone calls and left voicemail message; still no response 6/20/23 received email from **** stating details needed to be finalized and to give her a call 6/26/23 I responded to her email that she left me with a lot of uncertainty not hearing from her until now and that I had to make other plans. 3 weeks before the event didn't give me enough time to make that total payment. Told her I would just settle for losing the $500 and cancel.6/27/23 **** stated I had to pay cancellation fee. I then said I wouldn't cancel but reschedule. 7/6/23 **** responded that I must pay cancellation fee or reschedule fee which would be 1/2 of the preliminary invoice amount paid in advance...that I've known about this since 2021 and they've held my date for a long time. She has never acknowledged that she didn't respond to any of my attempts to contact her or the organization. *I have email documentation to back up what I've written.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/25/2023

Good Morning, ****** scheduled a wedding 11/21/2021.  This wedding was then cancelled and we were sympathectic and let her change the date and the event.  She changed the event a year ago to a graduation party.  February we contaced her and followed up with several emails and phone calls in April to get the details.  We ****** have a cancellation policy and a rescheudule policy we review with each client so they competely understand the sitution if they decide to cancel or reschedule.  We have held this date for almost a year for ******.  I did give her the option to have a party, reschedule or cancel.  She decided to cancel her event thus creating an invoice for cancellation.

We have many events a year and a binding contract is a binding contract.  We save the date for them and they promise to have an event.  I would be more than happy to negotiate the cancellation.  $3162.00  I would be more than happy to split the difference for her to cancel.

I look forward to hearing back from you

      Sincerely
      *************************
