To whom it may concern, we here at Blue Ladder Roofing, completed all trades approved by Mr. and ********************* insurance and installed everything up to code and even upgraded the shingles to a better quality shingle for free.

We unfortunately had to take off the awning in order to complete the roof up to code because the awning was drilled directly into the shingles so there was absolutely no way for us to complete the roof without us taking it down.

The homeowners then requested for us to pay for a completely new awning even though insurance did not give any funds to do so. We tried to explain why we had to take it down and that it was in fact not broken and got their insurance on the phone with them to explain further. We offered to pay for a new awning fabric as it was greatly affected by storm damage in the amount of $800 and explained that we would not be able to install the cloth into the awning as that is not a trade we perform or know how to perform. We told Mr. and ********************* that we  would work with their insurance to try and get them a new awning approved, but at this time we could put the old awning back up to which they declined.

I went out to the property and spoke with the homeowners and addressed their concerns and told them I would have our crew come out within the next couple days to fix all the issues they had.

Our crew ******* and some crewmen who do speak English went to the property and spoke to the homeowners directly and fixed any and all punch list requests from the homeowner that day. They also offered to put back the old awning and they told the ******* no as well. Since then we have reached out to Mr. ********* ********************* several times with no answer. We have left messages via voicemail and texts.

As of right now, all trades have been completed on the property that the insurance has approved and all punch list items the homeowners have requested are done. We have not been able to send in a supplement to State Farm requesting any more money or information because sun better or their dealer more shades for less have not gotten back with blue ladder or Mr. ***** ********************* with an estimate for installation ect.

The Blue Ladder Roofing team takes pride in all things we do. We were left very confused as to why we received this complaint as everything that was asked of us has been done and addressed. We would love to resolve this situation as best we can and hope to hear back from Mr. and ********************* as soon as possible to clear things up.

    Best Regards,

BBB is unable to locate the business.
On 8/10 Blue Ladder Roofing (BLR) came to inspect our roof for a leak, but they were unable to find it. BLR instructed us to file a claim with our homeowners insurance and stated that we needed a new roof. *** stated we would also need a tarp placed over the spot they suspected was causing the issue and this process took about a week to complete after multiple calls and appointments. On 8/17 an adjustor came and inspected the roof, it was determined that a new roof was not needed. *** instructed us we should find a new homeowner's insurance company when the adjuster was unable to corroborate with BLR findings. *** stated they found the source and had a tarp placed over the location on the afternoon of 8/17. The location of the tarp and the location of the leak were on opposite sides of the roof, but they were certain this would solve the issue. On 9/6 it rained and the tarp did not stop the leak. We called BLR and were told the tarp needed moved to find the leak. After multiple calls to BLR with no response, we called another company. On 9/12 the other company was able to identify and fix the leak upon their initial inspection. On 9/14 we contacted BLR to schedule a day to remove the tarp, that day came and went with BLR not showing. We reached back out on 10/13 & 10/23 and received no response. On 10/27 we contacted BLR and were told they would be out 10/30 to remove the tarp, and they never came. We reached out on 11/2 & 11/8 and were told an urgent message would be sent to the supervisor in order to have the tarp removed. No communication has been received from BLR. As of 11/17 the tarp is still on our roof and BLR is unreachable. We have since contacted another roofing company to have them come and take the tarp down, and repair the roof as needed from the installation of the tarp by BLR.This is resulting in a heavy cost to us to have this company come and remove a tarp BLR placed and refuses to remove after multiple appointments for removal have been made.

Not all repairs from March 31st 2023 tornado damage have been complete. Roof was replaced on April 19 2023. Very happy with the results, however there is a small section on siding on the chimney that needs replaced it was noted on the work order. I am still waiting on them to repair that. Raccoons are using that as a point of entry to my attic. I have called 3 times and they have always promised to have it repaired that week. Nobody has ever shown up to do the repair. I called and spoke with *************************** yesterday, July 31st and he said he needed to talk to a different department and would call me back immediately. He has never returned the phone call. I need this repair done immediately before it becomes a bigger issue.
