My heating and air conditioner went out and wouldnt work at all for 4 days. Had the heating and air conditioner person out on monday and said it was an electrical problem. Called Mr. Electric of *************** and made an appt. for them to come out on Tuesday morning. They came out and one of the men was named ****. He spent about a half and hour trying to decide what the problem was. He said it was a wire going from circuit breaker panel to furnace and had to do a bunch of re wiring to fix it and said it would be over 750 dollars plus the service fee which was 161 dollars so over 900 dollars total. Said they had to be somewhere else and said someone would be by around noon. About 330 was the time they showed up and they were looking around asking some questions and found out it was a burnt switch that was behing the furnace and that fixed the problem. He left and gave us a picture of what he fixed and said we would be getting an email containing what they did. Said we would be getting a credit by the next day. We received no email and the charge on our account was pending. Called them in the morning and the boss, i assumed, said he didnt know there was something different had happened. Said he would take care of it and issue me a credit later that day. Did not happen. Called them again of thursday and the lady said that it would be taken care of a credit would be issued today. Did not happen. Called them today and got answering machine. told them if they didnt issue me a credit today, i would contact the BBB and issue a complaint.

      Business Response

      ****************,

It has come to my attention that you are awaiting a return of funds for the difference between services originally sold to you, and services rendered. I will certainly help resolve this for you.

First and foremost, I want to make it clear that we stand by the recommendation made by **** after he came out to troubleshoot the circuit powering your home. Federal Pacific panels have a long and well-documented history of failure resulting in injury and property damage. As such, most companies will not service them. We highly recommend you replace that panel as soon as you are able.

Additionally, I understand that ***** took it upon himself to further troubleshoot and identify the interruption of power going to your furnace, and that he was able to repair that to restore power to your furnace. It is our professional opinion that this is a band-aid fix that does not address the concern that the circuit is not properly protected by a well-functioning breaker. As such, this circuit is still a danger. We would not have done any work on this circuit if we believed it would be left unprotected.

We would very much like to be permitted to return and install the secondary breaker that was discussed with you so that the circuit to that furnace is protected. We are willing to do so at absolutely no additional cost. If you would like to proceed with the installation of this breaker, please respond to this email indicating so.

Should you decide that you do not wish to install this breaker to protect your circuit, I will initiate a refund for your payment less the Diagnose & ********************** and Processing/Restocking fees. Attached is an invoice showing those totals. Also attached is a waiver of liability. In order to initiate a return for the amount indicated on the attached invoice, please respond to this email indicating that is the resolution you would like and include a copy of the liability waiver with your signature on it.

      Sincerely,

      *********************
      Director of Operations
