      Project: master bath renovation (walk in shower)Date started 5-2-2022 Date completed: 8-24-2022 Total charges paid: $16,119.96 Primary issue is poor workmanship. The finished shower had the following problems: shower floor was 3/4" out of level resulting in water/soap building up in corner, not draining shower partial wall was 1 3/8" out of plumb which was very noticeable there was a significant amount of dried on grout that could not be removed from the tile (tile purchased from Tile Shop ************* and was rated for use in showers)The only way to correct the out of level and out of plumb errors was a total demo and start over with different contractor.We seek to be reimbursed for the expenses for the new contractor, which was $13,536 51. We made numerous contacts to ************* about reimbursement both before the demo and since. He turned it in to his insurance company as a liability claim, but they denied it saying poor workmanship was not covered by the policy. Last communication from him was Dec 28, 2022 when he asked for a copy of the proposal from the new contractor which we forwarded to him (which contained documentation of the unlevel/out of plumb situation). He stated he'd have to think about it. After no further contact from him, we reached out one last time on Feb 4, 2023, but got no response.
