      Negative stars if possible. Moving 850 miles..over the phone inventory..never physical. Quoted 861 cf = $2200, $750 deposit made. Not bad. Final phone inventory..oops..20 items over the original inventory, now $5800. I said nevermind, I will do u haul or penske and forfeit my deposit. WISH I HAD..NIGHTMARE BEGINS.. **** then brought it down to $4400. I agreed and then paid $80 additional for 5 *** boxes as i had a bit more to pack. In those 5 additional *** boxes I consolidated 5 smaller boxes which were never removed from inventory. My move was subcontracted out to FLASH BOYS MOVING LLC. who never called or showed up on March 30, 2023 between 2 pm & 4 pm as was scheduled. They came early on Friday, March 31 and proceeded to load their RYDER truck. They stopped at, what they said, was 861 cf stating that's what was paid for..did I want them to continue loading. WTH..it was 1/3 of what was "inventoried". I felt it was all or nothing. I had to be out of where I was and rainy weather was hours away. The final cf was **** ..THEY SAID. They also said NORTH AMERICAN was famous for grossly underestimating cf to get the job. Final amount $7100, from an original quote of $2200 and they required $4000 at that time..cash if I didn't want to wait **** days for a check to clear. They showed up at my new home April 11, 2023. ELEVEN DAYS after receiving cash!! My belongings were in a completely different truck. Unloading and reloading doubled the chances of damage and damage there was! There was 1 original FLASH BOY with 3 helpers. Those 3 helpers were local people hired from ********** to unload. FLASH BOY required the remaining balance of $1400 IN CASH before unlocking the truck to unload. They did significant wall ceiling and laminate countertop damage in the home I left but i was told they are only responsible for inventory Damage there is on me. A small discomfort was their continual foreign yakking and refusing to speak English when requested to do so. All 3 spoke English

      Unbelievable and I am not quite sure how to write this one up, if I could give negative stars I would!! On 2/6 I secured my cross country move with Bill @ North American Van Lines, Inc. I disclosed and told him that I had a 3 bdrm house and two car garage and one car garage and I also shared that I was NOT taking the majority of my furniture because the house is being rented and they wanted the furniture. **** quoted me $3,207.87 for my move fees and took a $937.22 deposit on the telephone via US Debit card. This deposit ensured my rate and entered us into a contract for the total of $3,207.87.This price included, according to ****, pick up, loading, arrival in **** business days. cancellation up to 72 hours prior to pick up, unloading at my new home (***** miles away) this also included assembly if needed and delivery to any level of the home, upstairs, downstairs, and basement and it also included *********************** case my move was delayed.Spoke to ****** 2 days prior to move and she doubled my rates to $7K plus and then got me 3 discounts taking it down to $6,408.02 and took another $1,428.95 deposit now "guaranteeing" this rate, LOL.... BOTH PARTIES TOLD ME THEY WILL NOT BROKER OUT MY MOVE", they lied repeatedly. I offered to send pics and videos of my stuff they said they didn't need them. Sent Hermes Moving and Storage to pick up my items obviously NOT North American VL, who in turn increased my rates to over $13K and also dropped at least 6 boxes in front of me and drank beer out of my fridge in my garage while loading the truck... such professionals!!! WOW Now they have my stuff, I don't know where it is, my mom who had Alzheimer's and my mentally challenged sister want their stuff and honestly I am refusing to pay $10K to get it but I am willing to drive to *************** to say hello in person to ****, ******, ****** and the local TV stations. Out of room here, look for ****** Moving and Storage review next, they get the grand prize!! So Unethical

      I made a complaint following a nightmare of a move late October ****. My possessions were "unloaded" in the most unprofessional manner possible and the final cost was $3000 more than the "estimated" cost. Take a look on ******* to see the pics posted. Today (1-12-23) I received a phone call from North American attempting to resolve my issue. What they really wanted was for me to change my complaint for money. The correct term is a BRIBE!! I will continue to give a 1 star rating which is 1 star too many. NOBODY should be treated the way I was treated and I will shout it from the rooftops to anyone who listens. Use any company but North American Van Lines, ****

      **** sent too small of a truck initially in our third use of them, moving from ******* to **********.They unpacked the first truck into a warehouse and returned to our no longer home the next day, having moved the remainder of our home into the no longer ours garage. The first truck came 2 days later after breaking down, but only after multiple emails and texts did we get the remainder of our possession (mostly) more than two weeks after the initial pickup.The second driver did not have an invoice and asked to use our copy (mostly illegible).We found numerous broken objects, lost objects, and most importantly, lost stainless steel legs for an expensive table; we had poor responses from all involved (with an extensive email chain).We were supposed to have a three-day delivery window: turned into more than two weeks.More than two months after the move we were told we were to be reimbursed ~$1000, with no addressing the missing table legs which led to a loss of greater than $2000 for the table itself.I refused the check, and we are currently in appeal. I asked for a copy of the appeal policy and was told there isn't one, and the agent didn't ask for any further information from me.Again, we had two good experiences with NAVL, but based on their refusal to make us whole from their handling of our last move, I would not recommend them to anyone; mistakes can happen, but then you own the mistake, and you resolve the damages.If the current appeal is inadequate, we will file formally with BBB and also consider legal action.

      We are very sorry the claimant had issues to report from their relocation. It is never the intention of the carrier to have a delay in delivery as we do realize the frustration and inconvenience this causes. The damage claim is under review and the claimant will hear once the review is complete.

      Much of our furniture and boxed items were damaged or pieces lost to put furniture back together. We are even missing a couple of expensive items. We are filing a report with the company. The movers were careless and negligent. I am appalled at the work ethic of the movers who moved our belongings from ***** to ******. So disappointing.
