On 2-4-2020, BBB opened an investigation due to consumer allegations of recurring charges appearing on their credit cards after a free trial had expired. Consumers report higher cost than expected and an inability to cancel. BBB opened an Ad Review on 2-5-2020 BBB sent an Ad Review letter by email to the business. On 2-5-2020 BBB received the following response from the business: "Our company is Mountain Sky Inc, we had to change our DBA name a few months ago because a CO supplement company has the trademark.
We own Mountain sky trademark. Mountain Sky is incorporated in DE. We do own the domain name https://mountainpeakcbd.com but no longer use it due to the trademark issue. We did not authorize the owner of the URL to use those images or words, and do not know who that person or entity is. If you find out please let us know, and we will have our legal department attempt to have them take it down. Thank You."
On 2-6-2020, BBB requested additional information from the business and received the following response: "...we do not authorize anyone to sell or use Mountain Peak, that is owned by another supplement company, the reason for our change."
