*********************, owner of PlungeLife LLC, contracted with us to install a pre-cast concrete pool. He collected 2 large sums of money from **. He took the first deposit in January 2023 to send to the main company, Plungie Pools in *****, to begin fabrication of the pool. He confirmed over email that he "locked in our pool" and that the next deposit would be due when the pool was fabricated and ready to be delivered. In June 2023, he asked for the second deposit. He was also in communication with our general contractor and directed him to dig the hole. Then, he ceased communication. After about 1 week of trying to get in touch with *********************, we got an email from a bankruptcy lawyer. We contacted the main company, Plungie Pools, and were told that **** never sent them any money, and they had no pool fabricated for us. ********************* of PlungeLife, LLC is a dishonest, lying con artist. The money he took from us was supposed to go immediately to ***********************, and he kept it for his own purposes and is trying to hide behind bankruptcy. Now we have a massive hole in our yard and our renovation savings is gone. This business should be rated an F-

Installed the pool incorrectly and states it's done. The city of plymouth has failed the installation mutiple times. Our backyard and pool have now flooded multiple times. Today again **** sent an email that the project is done and wants final payment. We've had to bring in a third party now since it's been four months of no resolutoin by **** at Plunge Pools. Today again the city inspector came out and wants everything dug up again and done correctly since the *** piping failed and the grounding wasn't done correctly.

The customer has not been up front or honest with us for weeks.  The customer has made multiple claims that were later found untrue.  For example, he has stated in multiple communications that the inspector failed the work not once but twice.  I have an audio recording with the inspector stating the complete opposite and says everything ******* has stated is not true.  We were forced and started a project where the entire street in front of the customers home was tore up because the City of ******** was installing a new water main along the entire road.  This caused issues with getting equipment into the job site and delays.  The pool was dropped in correctly, followed by electrical, equipment, plumbing and stone back fill.  The team that was working on these various and simple phases of the project have over 50 years of combined experience.  The client took it upon himself, whom has zero pool building experience, to tear up work and have it done differently.  We did not invoice the final bill as we were supposed to in the agreement.  Final payment was due on delivery of the pool.  This is a bogus claim to avoid final payment and or to attempt to get a refund for anything paid.  Please call me for further comment. ************.

I am rejecting this response because: The contractor was given multiple options to redo the pool and destroyed our yard and our neighbors yard.  The City of Plymouth has documented that the final pool inspection was not completed only the electrical got final approval on July 8, 2023. Here is the city's phone number ************ and ask for the permit department  Since **** put everything in my name including the building permit they can't hold him accountable.  Today the electrical company that **** subcontracted said he is not returning their calls or sent final payment.

We have requested all the quotes, invoices and payments sent now three times over the last 6 weeks with no response.  Also the ******************** document from ******* Pools on the installation guidelines.  Both have not been received, so we are requesting them again.

    Business Response

This customer has been dishonest about a multitude of things, conversations, requests by the city, conversations that I've had with subs, visits I've made to the job site, work and progress done on the project, and the list still goes on from there.   The work we were required to do passed all inspections required by the township.  I have audio recordings from the inspector who handled the job.  ******** claims the inspector failed inspections 2X or more, and that was a lie.  The inspector, on the recording that I have, said everything passed with flying colors.  This customer brought in a third party to rip up the work that was done, just some basic work, to say the job was done incorrectly and to avoid paying.  He has made dozens of threats to myself, subs, and the manufacturer.  Based on the temperament and attitude of this individual, I do not believe there is anything anyone can say or do to change his attempt to get a free pool.  Feel free to call me with any further questions.  His pool is done btw.  We brought it to completion for the most part.  It just needed the finish work done around it which we were not contracted to do.

I am rejecting this response because I just spoke to ****, who you talked to at City of Plymouth, phone number ************************. First, he never said these things, and you didn't tell him he was being recorded. He never said the project passed with flying colors, just the electrical work on July 8, not the plumbing or pool installation. Since you continue wanting to position things incorrectly and haven't paid some of the subcontractors. My attorney is now preparing the paperwork after talking to the City of Plymouth to ensure no one puts a lien on our home.  As well as that no one goes through this with ******* Life or ******* Pools since they referred you.  The pool was not done, and we brought the third party in to fix the pool, plumbing and yard after you went *** or claimed it was done.
