I dont know date of original transaction, as my parents had no recollection of purchasing a home. They paid cash in the amount if 224k. The asking price was 229k. There was no inspection done nor any disclosure. My son who owns his own heating and cooling business was in the house yesterday. And found they need a new air conditioner, it was 95 in the house. The ceiling in the 3 seasons room has an area that possibly had water damage Now this realtor, ************************* went to the facility my parents currently live in. Problem #1, this is unethical #2 my mom has documented dementia, has been on meds for 5 yrs or so. #3 in talking to her you can tell she has cognitive deficits making her ineligible to sign a contract. #4 my dad has stage 4 copd, hes dying. #5 due to his disease process, he wears oxygen 24/7. He does not get adequate oxygen to his brain. #6 he is confused, loss of short term memory, and says inappropriate things. #7 he is on opioids 24/7, making him under the influence. He will fall asleep mid sentence, he falls asleep eating, etc. this realtor should have never taken them to look at any properties, as he took on the liability if anything happened to them. My dad falls almost daily. Even more important he should have never entered contract with 2 confused people. Who didnt tell anyone in the family they bought a house. But how could they , they didnt remember doing so!! My daughter, who pays the bills saw 224k was missing from their account. She immediately called my oldest son. Who is their POA. Yes they have a poa. Upon my daughter and other son going over and questioning my parents, my daughter found the realtors card. Then she found some paperwork. But again my parents didnt remember making the purchase, where the house is, why they didnt have the keys if they paid for it and were clueless about the closing. Theyve been scammed out of the money to take care of them in what is supposed to be their golden years

      Business Response

      Date: 07/22/2024

      To Whom it may concern,

I received an email from Mr. and ***************** daughter *******.  I returned with a call after finding out what had happened.  Our agent, ************************* also shared with me what had happened.  To our best knowledge ********************* were of capable minds, they drove themselves to their housing appointments and their granddaughter attended closing with them.

I met with ******* and ************************* on June 25th.  They came into the office to talk about the home that they bought.  They spoke very clearly about why they wanted to move from *****************  The one reason they came in was to speak about what happened after they told their children about purchasing a home.  They were very disappointed in the reaction of their children but felt as if the children put them into **********, was a rash decision.  They said they were not on board with this decision but were forced into it.  To me it seemed as if there were a lot of family dynamics that were happening.   They could answer any question that I asked about the transaction and the situation at hand.  The main purpose of their visit was to find out the protocol of the repairs of the air conditioning unit.  That was when we called **** and **** offered to pay for the unit.  Due to the fact that they were unable to perform an inspection prior to closing.

******* and ****** seemed very satisfied not only with the home they purchased but with ************************* and his representation of them.  They were extremely embarrassed about what their children had done and said regarding the purchase of their new home.

If you need any other details, please feel free to reach out to me.

      Sincerely,
