Had to get a new roof due to hail damage this past yr, went with Faze contraction. ****** was the salesman that came out and got everything started. I have had the bill change over and over and over, I have spoke with the owner on several occasions regarding this matter. I have had to submit everything to my insurance company and pay them. This past week they have changed the bill again, ******* dollars more. Now he wants me to pay more moneys.

    Business Response

This project was an insurance claim, and **** hired us to complete the work. We initially agreed to a contract for $9,300. However, we informed **** that certain items on the scope were not covered by insurance and explained that we would submit a supplemental change order to ensure her project met code. These changes would be reflected in the invoice, not the original contract, and **** agreed.

After completing the work, we provided **** with a class 4 shingle upgrade. This increased the total bill to $10,400, which insurance was expected to cover through the supplemental claim. **** made a partial payment using funds she had received from her insurance, and we allowed time for her to submit the final invoice to receive the remaining funds.

When we followed up to collect the balance, **** was rude and instructed my staff not to call her during work hours. I took over as her point of contact and reached out after hours or by text and email. When I contacted her again about the outstanding balance, she became angry, claimed she owed nothing, and refused to discuss the matter further.

I repeatedly asked **** to discuss any misunderstandings and help resolve the issue with the insurance payment, but she ignored all communication. I reminded her of her legal obligation under the contract to pay the invoice within 30 days, regardless of insurance delays. She has continued to avoid communication and payment.

We are trying to resolve this without filing a lien or taking legal action, but Dawns refusal to cooperate is a breach of contract. We fulfilled our obligations, and her claim that she owes nothing is invalid.
