1/7/22 contract for bathroom remodel was signed by me and ******************************* and we were told work would start around 2/15/22, but we didnt hear from owner *********************** and we called the end of 2/22 and was told work would start 3/23, but work started 4/18/22 and we were told it would take 5-7 days to complete work, but months passed and we were always told they were waiting on supplies and then on 8/5/22 he texted and said he wanted to call it quits and collect final payment, *** was close to completion, but their were issues with work done that needed to be corrected and a few things that were not done. We told him that job wasnt completed and he said well I can take ****** off the bill, we refused since job wasnt complete, we eventually settled on giving him ******* and found another contractor to finish job. Electrician found grave issues with lighting and electrical sockets that Advance1 completed and also had to completely redo plumbing that they did. Bathroom door was incorrectly installed and they blamed it on the door frame not being level, sink wasnt level and they too blamed it on the wall and floor not being level and this was a complete gut and they installed walls and floors, had we known of the damage they caused with plumbing and electrical we would not have given any final payment, we would have sued.Initial Complaint

I met with ******* ******* in late June/early July and received a quote for a privacy fence. The quote was for $6,250.00. I paid 1/2 down ($3,125.00) with the promise that work would begin 07/25. I purchased lunch and beverages for the crew for 07/25/22 start day and had a lawn care service make sure small trees and brush were cut away from the fence per *******'s instructions. I texted ******* ******* on 07/25/22 and he replied they had no plans of coming out that day and he was sorry. He would not reply to my multiple text messages, emails or calls requesting a new install date after that communication. To date, ******* did not advise a new install date. A few days ago, I received an email from a WIX address stating Advanced 1 Construction has filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy and they are out of business. I replied I had contacted the police and was pressing charges and ******* ******* suddenly replied to me stating; "I'm sorry you won't be getting your money back but at least I had the decency to tell you about Advance 1 going out of business". He told me I can't file charges against him because he intended to do the job. ******* ******* is a thief and people should beware of this person and Advanced 1 Construction LLC. Huge disappointment, lost money that took this single person a long time to save. Lesson learned. ******* ******* gives honest, hard working, small business owners a very bad name. The lack of integrity and honesty in this man is mind blowing and incredibly sad.Initial Complaint

We have a signed contract (May 19, 2022) and a paid deposit of $4,971.47 (cashed on June 3, 2022). The project start date was Monday, August 15, 2022. Advanced 1 Construction informed me on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 4:30 pm that they are filing bankruptcy and will not be completing our project. We are only requesting our full deposit back. Advanced 1 Construction has not provided any service that was agreed upon in our signed contract. We were not offered our supplies or even a guarantee of a refund.Initial Complaint

Contract signed for install of wood fence April 1, 2022. to be completed by end of May down payment made for Half of cost. Check written, cleared. received an email that job was created by 'getjobber.com' through advanced1construction. Received email that the job was scheduled for May 30, 2022. (yes I knew there was no one coming out on memorial day.) I politely and patiently waited for update, on june 20, 2022 asked for an update, ***************** asked if I could give until the end of the month I said ok. June 29, 2022 texted and asked if the install would happen on the following day? Stated would be July the 8th for sure. contacted him on July the 8th stated it was raining, would be the following week. Nothing, no replies to emails texts phone messages. the business phone on website does not take messages as mailbox is full. This is unacceptable practice. Some type of communication is way past due.Initial Complaint

We signed a contract with *********************** at Advanced 1 Construction LLC on 3/23/2022 for a complete wood fence replacement. We put $3,275 down that day with the remaining balance to be due upon completion. The date we were told the fence would be completed by was the week of May 15, 2022. After this date passed we contacted **** and he requested multiple extensions of time due to what he claimed were staffing issues. We agreed to be patient as he worked through these issues and his other jobs as long as he continued to communicate with us and let us know where things stood with our contract and fence job. He stopped returning calls and texts at the end of July 2022. His last communication to us was July 20, 2022 and we have made many attempts to contact him by phone and social media since then with no response. It also appears he has removed his company ******** page after we tried to contact him there. At this time we are nearly 3 months past our completion date and are looking to have our $3,275 deposit returned to us since no work was completed on our project.Initial Complaint

We contracted with Advanced1 (***********************) in April 22, 2022 for a major home renovation. **** at first provided numerous references, referenced BBB accreditation, and is apparently licensed and bonded (still need to see evidence of that). Project was slated to begin May 31, 2022. In the first week following May 31, 2022, no work had started, thus making project delayed right off the start. Interior and exterior demo started first week of June. Partial mechanical work completed by mid-June. From there, delays occurred with foundation work. After weeks of delays and contractor issues, foundation was completed - foundation company only received 1/2 payments as contracted. Since then, **** has been unresponsive and only offering periodic updates for potential delayed work. This was a substantial renovation plan and **** received 50% of the project total upfront and has now informed us that he is filing for bankruptcy.Initial Complaint

On March 25, 2022, my husband and I signed a contract for over $25,000 to have our floors laid, and bathrooms updated. On that same date we gave **** (the owner) a cashiers check for almost $13,000. He told us the project would be complete by June 10, 2022. Since the beginning of June we have heard nothing but excuses on why the work hasnt started with no set date for it to begin. **** said he would reach out by July 5, 2022, to give us another date on when it would start. At that time he said we would be finished by the end of July. **** never reached out so my husband text and called him numerous times with no response. Finally, on July 25, 2022, we reached out to terminate our contract and get a full refund. **** refused and said we couldnt terminate. On July 29, 2022, I sent **** a text message and an email explaining how his contract violated the Indiana Home Improvement Contract Act. I again asked to terminate the contract and provide a full refund. He has not responded since July 25, 2022. We signed a contract over five months ago and gave him almost $13,000-we have nothing to show for it.
