      Approximately 2 1/2 years ago we were provided a referral to this company to help facilitate my mother's VA benefits through my father who was a two time war veteran. We have had nothing but the run around by this company for these past years. First we were given the name of ****, he came to my home, took our check, of course, and stated they would file the claim. Nothing but stalling tactics took place up until February of last year we received a letter from the VA denying the claim. We were assured by **** that this happens often and he would be filing the response or appeal. When questioned up until this March all we received is that it is "still in the que" with the VA. Then he dropped off the face of the earth, no response to emails, calls, texts, nothing. I was able to read these very familiar complaints and get the main number for the business. I have been in touch with **** who has explained that the appeal was filed, but not showing up in the "que" at the VA. After a month of stalls due to reported health issues, he stated he will handle things, we should know something in a month. Now, HE has dropped off the face of the planet and no response to my texts or calls. I would like our case file AND A FULL REFUND so we have some evidence (if there is in fact any) of what has really transpired so we are able to pick up the pieces and get this resolved for my mother, wife to a two time war veteran.

      My ********** applied for **************** when my father went into ******* in Oct 2022. The representative of Veteran Benefit Consultant (VBC) was paid $1300 to begin the process A year later, Oct. 16, 2023, the representative responded to an email I had sent him and reported that he expected to have an update call today and should have something for you tomorrow. By Feb. 20, 2024, I phoned the VA hotline in inquire about an update on the file I had been told was submitted. The hotline told me that an application for **************** had never been submitted in October 2022 only a notice of death submitted by the Owner/President of VBC *************************, year after my father died.I contacted ************************* and asked that he return my fathers $1300. He reported he would return the $1300 and that the file was still pending with the VA. I requested a copy of the case file & he guaranteed me he would send it to me as soon as he was back in his home town. I received his check for $1300 on March 28, 2024. I am still waiting for the case file he said he submitted to the VA. In speakiing with ******** of Veterans Services Counselor, I was asked and I answered all his questions and was notified my father woul not have met the qualifications for ****************. I knew all I needed to know within 50 minutes of a phone call and it was all FREE! I was not charged for the VA helping me.VBC's initial charge of $1300, the many months of reporting that my father's case file was being delayed with the VA and their lack of communicating with me for updates caused me needless **************************** through their incompetent and unprofessional behavior to which I was subjected. Yes, they returned the $1300 but they never submitted the case application nor did they give me a copy of what they insist they submitted.

      I am submitting what transpired between October 24, 2022 and April, 2024 between myself and the Veteran Benefit Consultants, LLC.  *********** representative in ****** was paid $1300 to submit an application for Aid & Attendance for my father, a WWII veteran who had entered Hospice on 10/21/2022.  The representative told me he submitted the application on or about November, 2022.  From then on, there was little or no discussion other than informing me that the VA was backlogged and it could take a very long time to process our application.  My father passed away on December 21, **************************************************** was backlogged.

      I finally phoned the VA hotline and was informed that there was no application pending for my father (nothing under his name) and the only item they showed was a notice of my father's death by an individual named *************************.  I discovered ******************** is the president of Veteran Benefit Consultants.  I was also informed that the VA would never have charged me to file the application and stated they hoped I got my money back.  I reported my findings to both the representative in ****** and ********************.  I eventually received the $1300 but they had also promised me a copy of the case application which they still insist they submitted to the VA.  I never received a copy of their case submission.  I am in communication with a VA Consultant who is now in the process of submitting my documentation and I have not been charged for any of his help.  As a Social Worker, it is my belief that no one should have to suffer the misguided information that is given by this company and be charged in the process.  I received nothing but misinformation and what I believe to be questionable business practices.  Our veterans deserve better information and treatment and so do their families.
