    I purchased this companies quick shine cleaner and floor finish twice from Amazon my last purchase was on March 24, 2024. I used the finisher twice over the last month in a half. The other day I realized in my kitchen that my top coat on my hardwood floors were peeling. It was a large area and the rest of my floors appeared ashy after weeks of letting the product sit. I was not sure if this product was the culprit of my peeling floors until I went to use my spray mop with the floor finish product in it and it had clogged my spray mop up with the same type of crust on my floors. Then after removing this from my mop with hot water I put the finish on my floor in the bathroom and accidentally lost my balance to step in the wet finish and when I lifted my foot up my floor top coat was removed from this floor finish. I immediately took pictures of my floor and the piece of top coat that I removed from my foot. *** lived in this house a little over a year and only used this floor finish for shine. My hardwood floors are destroyed and I reported this to the company asking for them to open a product liability claim and they said they have a limited warranty. Nonsense. They have product liability ************** for their defective products. Something changed in their formula with this second purchase and I would like this company to investigate and correct this issue. I would like my floors professionally cleaned to remove this build up of a product and a re-coat for the areas that have been removed.

    I had your product, Quick Shine Floor Polish used on my wood floor according to directions on July 13, 2022. This polish stated it was safe for wood floors, which I have. I am aware of what my floors are made of because my home is a new build. After this product was applied, my wood floor warped and has a film which is unable to be removed and has ruined the floors and made them dangerously slippery since the date the product was used. I reached out to your company via your website twice - once on July 18th, 2022 and once on August 18th 2022. I also left three voicemails for your company since this time period and have not been contacted by your company in return. I have documented the damage to my floors. I am seeking the cost of repair/replace my wood floors due to damage caused by your product.

    I wanted to contact you in regard to a complaint letter we received from you. The complaint ID is ******** for *********************. I have provided an email thread of our communication with this customer. Quick Shine products are pH neutral and safe for any sealed hard surface flooring. If a customer does not achieve satisfactory results when applying the Finish, it can easily be removed with our Quick Shine Deep Cleaner. We offered her a complimentary bottle, however she declined. We saw no damage to the floors in the image she provided. The image does show some streaking which may have been caused by a cleaning surfactant. Again, our Quick Shine Deep Cleaner will restore her floors back to there original state prior to using our products. We feel we offered her a fair explanation of the reason for streaking and no longer feel an obligation to this matter as she has declined our offer.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. 

    *Has the company addressed the issue of the dispute?

    The company only offered to send me another of their products to try and remove damage that they are not taking responsibility for. My floor was in perfect condition prior to using their product. Their product is the only product that was used prior to the damage caused in the photos (which I will attach again). If you look on various websites you will see photos from numerous other customers complaining of the exact damage that I have on my floors. I will include one of many examples online. 

    *If not, why?

    This company is not taking responsibility for the damage they are causing to customers floors and offer the same cookie cutter response to anyone who questions their product and their only remedy is to sell (or in this case offer it free) their own product to remedy a problem which they caused.

    The company only offerred me another of their products and I am not taking a chance of further damaging my floors because this company lacks integrity and accountability for damage they have already caused.

    Hi,

     

    We received your BBB letter in the mail regarding a rebuttal. We never received or heard of this rebuttal until now.

    We are not responsible for a brand-new floor per our stated Limited Warranty on each bottle.

    We do feel however we have the key to unlock her problem, but she refuses our suggestion.

    We will work with her moving forward if she is willing.

     

    Holloway House has manufactured our products since 1962.

    We have sold and have millions of satisfied customers.

    Our reviews are overwhelmingly positive.

    The company said they would send me a product of their own to fix my floor. This is unacceptable as my floor was fine until their product was applied. To expect me to use another one of their products, free or not, is ridiculous and unreasonable. They have offered me nothing to **************** or any kind of restitution.
