    *** group was my landlord until my lease ended on october 31st 2023. According to the lease agreement they were responsible for switching all utilities to their name once the lease ended. I just received a water bill saying that they never switched over the water utilities until December 17 2023 and I was still being charged and just now received a bill for $611.66 from the water company for water usage that was never paid. I paid all of the water bills up until october 31st that I used so I was unaware that they never switched the water into their name and now am being sent to collections and having it effect my credit because they failed to fulfill their responsibility according to the lease. I am seeking reimbursement for the full $611.66 because since they never switched the accounts the water company will not correct the issue and are continuing to effect my credit score and continue charging me for water usage that I never used. I have proof of the lease ending on october 31st.

    We have reached out to ******************** and have reviewed his requests and have offered very reasonable assistance for this claim per the email above.  We have also reached out to the ***********************, and they have assured us that we did our part in requesting service in our name, but we ultimately cannot cancel utilities in ************************************ name and that needs to be done by him.  We have also attached the email from the city that states that we have successfully requested that utilities be switched in our name.  We have also attached the lease stating that it is the tenant's responsibility to cancel ALL utilities in their name at the end of their lease.
