      On 06/13/2023 I had an interview for membership consideration with ***** **** at 5:00pm. at the Floyd County Conservation Club Georgetown, IN. President ****** ****** PH: ***** ********* After taking a gun range orientation program I paid her (***** **** Secretary) $150.00 for membership fees. The next day I found the Southern Indiana Rifle Club so I thought it was a much better fit because there wasn't as many requirements, so on Thursday 06/15/2023 at 9:00am I called ***** and told her I want to withdraw my membership and that I'd like a refund. No contact was made by them to me for 1 1/2 weeks so I called *** ******* (a director) and told him I wanted a refund and was told that they couldn't give me one because they'd have to change the 4 digit gate code. Then *** called me back saying that he talked to the president ****** ****** and relayed the message to me saying that they would send me a check, refunding my membership fee of $150.00 Over a week went by with no check so I called the President ****** ****** directly and was informed that if they refunded my money, letters would have to be sent to all of the members with a new 4 digit gate code and that it would cost $150.00. They were afraid that I would give the code to someone, even though I told them I cut the membership card up throwing it in the garbage, the day after I paid them and never even looked at the number and didn't know what it was. They still refused to refund my money. I can't give a number out that I don't have and the fact is, there's nothing to keep any member from giving out that gate code number, and no one would even know who gave it out. I'm asking you to help me get my $150.00 back. It's not morally right for them to keep my money, and there's NOTHING in their bi-laws stating that you can't be given a refund of your membership fees if you withdraw your membership in 1 1/2 days from paying them.
