    Had this business come out and give me a quote for service involving replacement of damaged drywall in a main floor bathroom ceiling. Was sent a quote of $400 for this on August 19, 2024. Repair man came out September 5, 2024 to complete the project. Removed a small sample of the ceiling and determined there was no mold there, so the drywall would not need replacing, would only need the surface refinished. However, the business still charged me the same $400, even though the job wasnt completed as stated in the quote. Questioned the owner about this, and was initially told the job was based on hours worked, not the actual project completed. Then later told something different, that the job was completed as quoted, which was not true since they in fact did not replace any drywall. Would like it to come to a resolution on the price of the work, since it was not completed, as stated.

    The work quoted and billed was completed satisfactorily.  The client is simply unaware of how repairs are made and was not home while the repairs were being made.  She simply is looking to get the work that she approved done for less money.  Please see the attached approved estimate and before and after photos of the work.

    The quote specifically states its for replacing the drywall. However the drywall was not replaced, the old drywall was left in place and only the outer surface was repaired.

    Drywall was replaced during this repair.  The client was not home when the repair was completed. Her remarks simply aren't true.  Please review the photos that we submitted of the work.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. 

    Again NO DRYWALL WAS REPLACED. They simply repaired the outer surface of the drywall that was already there so that the texture would match. In fact, I have texts from one of the owners saying they repaired the texture in that area. And I was in fact present for the beginning of the job and had a chance to speak to the serviceman doing the job who confirmed they would not need to REPLACE any drywall.
