      I sent my car to them on February 11, @8 am to fix a belt tension pulley and serpentine belt. They said they checked and diagnosed themselves but I also just got a diagnosis from ***** dealership but the price was too high so I call Midas who originally gave me a quote for $500.00. To fix it. Calls back to tell me after looking up my car because they didnt do it right the first time I will now have to pay ******* for the work to be done and also I just was there getting a oil change and asked for my car to be checked over 2 weeks prior and they said I didnt have anything wrong they checked over the car I didnt need filters or anything even though I knew it should have been time to change them they said they were fine. Fast forward to 2/11 now I need a list of things on top of the new problem thats wrong. They so call fix my car I get it back and they said they test drove it but it wouldnt start they had to give me a jump to leave the lot. They then said its my battery to get a new one and everything will be fine. I barely make it close to home and its shutting off and I smell burnt rubber. I immediately call them back they said get it back to them to check it. I buy a battery and get it towed back they put the battery in claim they test drove it and checked the belt and once again it should be good come up pick it up. I get there it was sitting in the same spot my friend told me it was when I got it towed back. I asked him are you sure they test drove it and checked everything the manager said he did it himself and I should be good. Once again barely get home same thing smells burnt rubber and car stops and see smoke. Had to get it towed back and from there the games began. I didnt get a call in weeks and when I did it was a new problem and its on me yet they checked over and drove the car. Only thing theyre offering is a tow to my home and now I have alternator issues but its been there and not their fault. Horrible experience and cooperate wont help.

      Prior to the litigation, we did offer to revisit the vehicle. We made recommendations, which she refused. The vehicle was towed to us and was not running, so we could not test drive it to replicate the issues she experienced. As she refused any recommended repairs from the prior visit, the driveability issues cannot be resolved.

      On 2/20/2025, I had an appointment at 11:30 to get my Oil Change nothing else. My truck was driving fine when I got to my appointment during the interaction the male suggested to me that I should get new breaks. I told him I didnt need new breaks that theyve been working just fine. Once they finished my oil change they again suggested I needed new breaks and I said I was okay again. I went to leave and my breaks were completely shot. I went inside to ask what they did and he said that my break line must have broke when I got into the parking lot. I told them that was too convenient since they were fine when I drove there. I proceeded to call the cops and I was told this would be a civil issue. I proceeded to have to get my truck towed from my house to another mechanic which cost $170. They also tried to charge me $97 for my oil change and I said that was way too much they then proceeded to say it was $74 but they would let me use a $20 coupon. I paid $54 for the oil change which I thought was acceptable.

      The customer's truck blew a brake line as it was being pulled into the shop for an oil change. Upon inspection (standard procedure with all vehicles is a complimentary visual inspection), it was found to have a ***** and disintegrated brake line. The ***** line was shown to the customer and an estimate for the repairs was provided. She became irate and called the ****************. (It should be noted she is an employee of the ****************, but this was her personal vehicle.) The sheriff came to our shop and viewed the digital vehicle inspection photos. He observed the vehicle's brake line was indeed rusted. The sheriff deemed this a civil matter and departed the premises. 

      The authorized services (i.e., the oil change) were performed correctly and as promised. No refund is due the customer as she accepted delivery of her vehicle with the oil change performed. She also notes in her complaint that she found the $54 charge for the oil change "acceptable." There is nothing further we can do for the customer as the services she authorized us to perform were completed and she accepted delivery of them. Any repairs or costs incurred outside of our correctly performed oil change are her responsibility. Furthermore, the *****/faulty brake line leaking and causing brake failure is not our fault nor do we accept blame for the situation. It is our professional opinion that she is fortunate her brakes did not fail due to the loss of hydraulic pressure while she was in transit or at highway speed.

      My tire blew out evening of 9/10. We brought the car back home took pictures of tires and wheels that evening for references to sizes and documentation purposes. Started calling places on 9/11 for quotes. Although more expensive than others we went with Midas on ******************* off 135 as ****** said he could get tires on it later that day. I drove up there for them to switch out tires. I have aftermarket rims on my vehicle. I hear the impact wrench go off. I run out of the office around to the side of the building to make sure that they are using the tool for my actual wheels. ****** had the gun and his hand and the tool and said he had it handled. Set there for about an hour and a half car gets done and as I come out the front door I can see damage to my wheels/rims chunks of metal missing around the lug nut holes clear coat chipped to wear it looks like a sticker is peeling. I called husband to let him know and brought it to ******** attention. ****** takes my phone talks to my husband and is basically calling me a liar right in front of me. I showed ****** that we had pictures time stamped from night prior of the tires with no damage. We were told they could review the video. We asked to speak with general manager he assured that the manager would call us in the morning which never happened. We ended up calling and speaking to **** who offered no resolution whatsoever or no apologies to the point that my husband said we will bring it up and you can see for yourself. So we drove it back up there this morning and of course **** now wants to argue with us about it. We asked for a corporate's number he gave us another ** as my husband calls **** informs him that he probably has better things to do. Absolutely ridiculous. I want my two damaged wheels taken care of. This company will not own up to their mistake even with proof of pictures and videos. The gouges are just going to cause further damage because now the powder coat is exposed. I'd like to see video.

      We did not cause the damage to the customer's wheel. They had issues with the wheels in the past that they did not disclose to us. The chips in the wheels appear to have been made by rocks, debris, etc., but are not the result of any work we did.

We have confirmed with several other tire shops these are fresh and caused by your negligence period. I absolutely will NOT stop until this is resolved. Tell me how rocks hit specifically around the lug nut holes in perfect pattern

He found nothing that placed responsibility on our business or that proved we cause the alleged damage. He spoke with the husband as an objective outside party. Therefore, we maintain we did not cause the alleged damage and have no liability in the matter.

      On Sat Sept 10, 2022 I went to Midass for a diagnostic evaluation. I told them at 40 mph and faster I heard a humming noise, like from a sweeper, and that is the only time I heard it. They put it up on a lift and did a visual inspection. They said my muffler was broken on the inside.they did not take the muffler off or look inside itI sat at the window and watched them. They said they could replace it w a reg mufflerdid not have to be a ***** muffler. I said ok. The cost..436.34. Replaced on 9/14/2022. Drove home.exact noise still there.went backthey then went on a test drive w me. The technician said it was the wheel bags.I said..my muffler and my wheel brg went out at the same time..he said happens all the time. We got back to the shop and the manager said IT WAS NOT A WHEEL BRG said it was the mud flaphe had a 3 foot long crow bar trying to bend it back then said well we could take it off as it doesnt do much..I said ok take it off and put in my backseat. I drove home..EXACT NOISE STILL THERE!!!! I took it back..they put it back up on liftNO ONE LOOKED AT IT..came back in 10 mins. Said it was my wheel brg. Really?I went to ********** ..paid for a diagnostic and it was my wheel brg. Had it fixed. I called Midastalked to the manager and he said it was my muffler there was a leak.what.they never said anything about a leakthey said the inside was broken! I asked what he was going to do for his mistakehe said we will take off ****** and fix your wheel brg. I said you will never touch my car again that I had it fixed by ***** and said I wanted a refund and NOW I HAVE A LOUD MUFFLED SOUND and I wanted a ***** muffler put on. He said you are not getting any money..said have a good day and hung up.I want reembursemnt for the 436. And I want compensation for a ***** muffler to be put back on by ********** now that I have a loud muffled sound that I NEVER HAD BEFORE.

      ************ came in with a noise complaint. Our initial diagnosis was a muffler issue, which was found upon visual inspection at no cost to the customer. The muffler was replaced with an aftermarket muffler at significant lower cost and quicker than obtaining an OEM muffler would have been. ************ agreed to this repair. She returned on 9/16/22 with another noise that was diagnosed as a right rear wheel bearing. We explained this to her but she refused the repair. Upon her call back, we did offer to do the wheel bearing at less than cost simply to satisfy her complaint.

      ************ drives a 2013 ***** CRV with over ******* miles on it, so it is natural for it to have multiple issues at the same time that need to be addressed. 

      It should be noted ************ complained to our General Manager that the mechanic could not know the muffler was the issue since he didn't cut it in half. This perspective makes no sense at all, as if that had been done and the muffler wasn't the issue, it would be ruined and the customer would then have to needlessly pay for a replacement. We made every reasonable effort to satisfy her complaint, but she expects us to refund work that was done correctly and was needed since the muffler had broken baffles inside. It is not uncommon for an aftermarket muffler to be a bit noisier than OEM but that is up to the customer to decide if they want the less expensive and more readily available repair or not. 

      It is our position the diagnosis and repair were done correctly. We offered to work with ************, but she refuses so the matter is considered closed on our part.

      First of all, he is totally lying!!! I never once asked for the muffler to be cut in half! I am not stupid!  And that is how they are portraying this issue. That is a total out and out lie. 

       He said they could tell the inside was broken by sound...however...there was NO SOUND WHEN IDLING!!

      Secondly,  they said it did it didn't make a difference if it were an off brand muffler and it was only 100 cheaper so not significant!.....

      When i returned it was for the EXACT SAME NOISE I WAS HEARING IN THE BEGINNING!

      I did not ************* of the **** ..i dO not trust them...

      First muffler...then flap then wheel brg!! 

      You look at their history....their are several complaints where they took advantage of women.

       

      And...when i did call back...the manager...******************, said their was a leak...total lie..their story keeps changing.

       

      So..no this is not over with.

      Unfortunately, we appear to be at impasse. We diagnosed the issue and presented repair options.  We cannot refund repairs that were done properly and that were authorized by the customer at the time of service. ************ chose to pursue additional repairs via another vendor. We are sorry she is dissatisfied with the service performed on her vehicle, but we were not negligent or careless in the repairs. Furthermore, her accusations of gender discrimination are completely unfounded, and we find such to be offensive. (It should be noted the manager at the location she visited is a female.) 

      At this point, it is best we agree to disagree and part ways. It is unfortunate as we do not choose to conduct business this way, but there also has to be reasonableness on both parts. We have attempted to be reasonable to no avail.
