  I hired this company from *****'s list to remove a small retainer wall, power rake, aeration, seed the front and back lawn and to lay new sod in the area where the retainer wall was removed. ***** @ FNJ landscaping stated he was the owner and could complete the job. The communication and quality of work was poor. I've called/text him several times to address the issue with late or no response at all. Initially, I requested a work order that would outline what the job detailed - based on what we discussed verbally. He texted me a construction contract that was provided to ensure payment but did not address anything we had discussed. (which I did not sign for that reason) Later he told me he would bring the line by line scope of work when he started the job and it was never provided. I proceeded with the project based on good faith. Be aware this company does price gouging! I was charged ******* for additional sod and after consulting w/ other landscapers. I was told that the sod only cost 5.00 at nurseries and approximately ***** at ********** and labor would be ****** for that area. ***** told me he would come back and complete the seeding in the front/back along with the dirt to cover the bare spots in the lawn because he ran out of dirt. Very little seeding was placed in the back lawn which was shown to him the day the job was completed and the seeding in the front was sparsely spread in the problem areas. The sod was not rolled out and he did not come back to complete the job as stated and will not answer the telephone. I have requested a partial refund and have not received a response and neither has ******* List.
