When we took the trailblazer in, was told it was our upper and lower gasket covers and it would be $604. We couldn't afford that so we took it home and drove it until it couldn't accelerate and took it back in. When we took it back they said it was the spark plugs, coils and there was a lot of gunk. They had to do this first and then they could do the other stuff that was originally supposed to get done. When we picked the car up it was $605, which we had to take a loan out. We thought it was all the stuff they said that needed to get done for the price. Was told no, we had to come back for the original things that needed to get done and it would be the $604. My bf drove the car home, which Coopers is 5mins from us, he said it was hard to drive. The vehicle sat for a few weeks until today when I had another place look at it. The mechanic sent me a video of the parts that ******** replaced, showing they were really bad parts and there was sparking coming from the side. He told me to call ******** to see if it was on warranty and it wasn't. They said they would fix anything they did for free. The lady was defensive, too busy defending her mechanic since she worked with him for over 20yrs. We understand loyalty but she wanted to know where our car was and who this guy was that would 'tale advantage' of us. Which was not the case. If anything ******** took advantage of us. We ended up just ending the call and had our new mechanic fix the issue. Coopers won't refund, and I won't allow them to touch my vehicle again. Warning others that they do not have any quality in parts or work and it's clear from other complaints I am not alone. We were told the car could still be driven until we could afford replacing the remaining parts....nope not the case. Couldn't drive it, just sat for weeks in our driveway, so no reason the parts they put on would be c*** if not driven. We have a video from our mechanic but I cannot upload it here. Angry since we were out of car and money!

I had a ********************************************* April of 2022. The repair was funded by my insurance, *********. The repairs were never done and the Catalytic Converter as well as my exhaust and other parts were taken off my vehicle. I purchased the car in February of 2022 and the motor went out from *** Auto in ******* ******* and the engine went out. I paid ***** for the car but the dealership as well as the repair shop ripped me off and stripped my vehicle. I had no choice but to sell the vehicle to Cash for cars cause it was now more expensive to repair than my policy would cover.

My grandmother got her differential replaced on her 2007 ***** Durango . I inspected it as a mechanic my self to see that they only sealed the leak to stop squealing an grinding noise . No new part was place on only sealant to stop leakage .

    Business Response

I am writing You in response to ID#********  *************************** in regards to her Grandmother **************** service performed here at the shop. Due to the age of the vehicle a new differential could not be found. We changed it to a completely rebuilt carrier, as a matter of fact we still have the old differential here as a core at the shop. I sent pictures so You can see it. We have serviced numerous vehicles within this family and never had an issue until now. I tried numerous times to contact both parties but neither would answer My calls or call Me back.  I am saddened and shocked to be treated like this after All the numerous times we have helped this entire family and worked on their vehicles. Even when they had no money, somehow we would help them and make it work. I myself even offered to help pay for services rendered at My shop because I thought they were good people.

I am rejecting this response because:

I have found new parts , the differential gear missing teeth , yeah fixing it with a used part that was faulty ? Now is that us being bad people or is it us asking for fair service . Cheap work for the big bucks , what a steal ! I *************************** am a graduate LICENSED automotive tech . I sent my grandmother to coopers because I trusted the last owner and staff . The differential plate wasnt even changed ! I actually found waaaay better differentials with no rust or leaks !

Around December of 2021. I had a bike chain fly through the front end of my car. Destroying the radiator, fan, and ac condenser. I take my car to coopers garage, where they charge me nearly $1000 dollars to fix the problem. The problem is, they never installed the locating pins for the radiator. Which lead to the radiator not being fixed in place, resulting in it pinging and bouncing around under the hood. Dealing damage to the radiator, causing me to have to get it replaced once again. Also while removing my ac condenser( they suggested this to be done for a cheaper out come in the future when I came back for service) they never connected the coolant vent hose from the radiator to the coolant reservoir. Which lead to the coolant spilling out in the cars undercarriage, and the pressure being wrong in my cars engine. Causing damage to a seal inside the water pump which also has to be replaced now. This is causing me to miss days at work, on top of the $1700 I have to pay to rectify the problems caused by coopers garages negligence.

    Business Response

My name is ********* and I part owner of Cooper's Garage. I am writing in response to ID #******** for ************************* and his 2016 **** Fusion. I have attached the receipt along with this email so You can see how long ago we repaired his vehicle. On Thursday November 10, 2022 ****** wife came into the shop requesting a copy of his receipt from almost a year ago. A half an hour later she, the wife, called our shop and talked to my business partner ****** and said she wanted a refund for the work we did to her husband's vehicle nearly a year ago. They took his vehicle to a Dealership and the dealer quoted them 2 thousand dollars for a water pump including timing and the dealer said we, Cooper's Garage, put the radiator in wrong and we broke the water pump. If we, Cooper's Garage put the radiator in wrong it would of malfunctioned right away not almost a year later. I asked the wife for us to tow it to our shop so we can look at it since the parts we installed still had a little warranty left and we would honor the warranty but we need to look at it first. She refused stating that she only wants her money back. I told her there was no refund until we take a look at the car first. How can we warranty anything without looking at it first? She said the Dealership already started working on it and she wants a full refund for the work we did almost a year ago. Upon numerous calls to both the husband and the wife, no response was given and no call back was given either to Cooper's Garage. Thank You for Your time.
