CoastToCoast Exteriors **ntacted me by phone early November to inquire if I was interested in an inspection of my roof for *********** damage. I agreed. **** came out on Nov 4, 2024 and set up an appt for a roof inspection by ******* *******. ******* inspected my roof on Wednesday Nov 13. He returned on Monday Nov 18 with an insurance adjuster. ******* returned on Thursday Dec 4 with another adjuster since the first ins claim would only **ver partial repair. A claim totaling $19,009 was approved by ******** Dec 10, 2024. That claim included $14,411 for total roof replacement as well as other damage totaling $4,500. CoastToCoast has kept the total $19,009 claim from insurance and has refused to give me the $4,500 for the other damage they are not repairing. I placed the order for roofing materials on Dec 19, 2024, I was not given an itemized receipt for the materials. I was told at that time there were 2 to 3 jobs ahead of me and mine would be COMPLETED end of Jan 2025 to mid-Feb 2025. I **ntacted CoastToCoast to ask about returning the funds to me for work that the ** is not doing, but was told to speak to *******, the project manager. I have not received a response to that. He did not respond to my text messages sent Jan 16 or Monday Feb 3. where I told him I was having surgery and medical appts through the time frame and needed an exact start date. I called the ** on Tuesday Feb 4 and asked about a date again and was told to call *******. No answer. He texted he was in **urt and would let me know as soon as he got to his **mputer. He never responded. Feb. 5th I called ******* AGAIN for an exact start date and was only told mid-February. I called ******* again today Feb. 7th for a start date, no answer. He texted back at 9:41am, he was at an inspection and will call right after. No call back. I texted twice *******, that I'm having surgery Feb 19 and I need the date and want the funds for home repairs they are not **mpleting given to me. No Responses.Business Response

This company was referred to us by another person who used their services in our mobile home park for their roofing needs. They came and assessed and estimated our roofing needs in late August, 2024 and my wife and I entered into a contract with Coast to Coast Exteriors for repair and replacement of the roof on our home due to hail and storm damage at our address ******************************, *********************************************. They supplied their work estimate to our insurance provider, *************** who authorized payment per our policy coverages. Coast To Coast reported being unable to order job supplies until initial payment was received to cover their cost. On September 6, 2024 a check for $21,113.60 from American Modern was received by me. It was a two-party check to me and Coast to Coast Exteriors. A Coast to Coast representative endorsed it with me, but when I went to my ********** location, I was told they do not process two-party checks at all. With trepidation, but no other alternative, I endorsed it and Coast to Coast took control of the check. They are Better Business Bureau listed and I hoped for their honesty. After dozens of calls, most of them unanswered and none returned, I finally got supplies here and a crew to install the roof the first week of February 2025! Two other checks for $5795.15 on 11/04/2024 and $1156.90 on 02/06/2025 were sent buy American Modern to cover additional supplies, again two-party checks. I was able to recover those from Coast to Coast on 3/15/25 via a check from them. After their payment for the job, accounting for retainer fee, and my deductible, Coast to Coast still owes me $5226.48 refund. The estimate included materials and labor for metal carport and storage shed repairs and they don't do metal work. I need to finish the repairs and I can't do it without these funds. They readily acknowledge owing it to me, but they do not pay it after many calls! Any assistance is appreciated!Business Response

I have heard similar replies during previous phone conversations without any payment being made. I will accept this resolution conditionally. If I receive no payment within 14 days for the entire amount, I will be filing a new complaint. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.Thank you very much for your assistance.******* ******

This company came knocking at my door back in March of 2024. They said they would repair my roof and with a claim through my house insurance. I filed a claim with my insurance and mailed me the check in the amount of ********. ******* ******* who is the manager in the *******. Az location came to pick up the check back in April 2024. Since then I have been calling and leaving messages to *******, ****** who is his manager and to ******* ***** as well to get a date on getting my roof fixed and response. When I do speak to someone they say they'll give me a call back with a date and still have not received any call or email. My house is going up or sale in 12/24 and I need my roof repaired before that. I'm not sure what to do at this point.Business Response

They said that the would be at my company to give me a whole new roof. They blocked the garage. They put shingles down on bare wood. they put tar on my white railing. They did not speak English. They were ******* to get the work done. They did a poor job. They were to replace fringe but did not. I paid 12k for the roof. They did not get to the whole roof. They are putting on inferior parts.Business Response

Date of Transaction - December 21, 2023. Amount Paid to the business is $3,000.00.Sales person is *****************************. The company was hired to replace 3 dining room windows and 1 pre-hung window in the family room. The 3 windows in the dining room were the wrong size leaving an approximate 2-inch gap. I told the installers that they needed to remeasure and replace the window with the right size. The company broke my old windows so I was left with these improperly installed windows as a temporary fix but the company will not respond to my calls and has not replaced the 3 dinging windows. Meanwhile, the window in the family has never been installed. I want the company to exchange the dining room windows with the right fitting size and finish the job according to the contract.Business Response

The workers leaving a messed the mess was not cleaned up as promised by the person that collected the money. On the morning that I paid the final payment, I spoked to the person at ************** that was in charge of getting the workers to the house for the work and collection of the money. Each night the workers did a cleanup in the dark. On the last morning after the last night, I called the person that I was speaking to and sent him a picture of some of the debris that I picked up in just over a minute. I was told by the gentleman that his people would be to my house after they left the dump and clean up the mess that they left. This was on December 20th, 2023. At this time I still owed the final payment of $11,000. I started to hold on the payment until after they came and left after cleaning up my area. They never showed and I was ****** and I wanted to react and curse some people out. instead I went out and cleaned up the area and I am still cleaning up my area and my neighbors yard. My neighbor and I fell out because of all the debris that was in his yard. It was imperative for the workers to clean up because it was windy during the time that they worked on the roof. I am disappointed and I didn't go to social media to complain and take it out in the social universe. I decided to wait and communicate under a good mental state. I am still cleaning up the mess. The other thing that I told the salesman was that the workers would not just start pounding on my roof and without notice in the morning not letting me know that they were here if I was living in ******************* and if I was white. I even feel that the reason that the person got the money and didn't send the people to cleanup is because I did not complain as if I was a white person. White people know how to get results and I respect that. I am trying to be a good person but this was unsatisfactory and I decided to let it off my chess and I need to be reimbursed for cleaning my yard and my neighbors yard.Business Response

The job was completed on December 19, 2023. Our service tech went to the customer's home the next morning as we promised and cleaned up to the best of his ability. He sweeped the property with our magnetic sweeper and picked up any visable debris he saw. We have a time stamped picture showing our box truck in the customer's driveway that morning. We have never been contacted by the customer after the December 20th date. If they would have contacted us we would have been out immediately to cleanup anything they found. Upon receiving this notification on February 22, 2024, I sent out our **************** Manager and another employee to the customer's home to walk the property and their neighbors property. She uploaded this note into our CRM on 2/22/24 at 12:39pm:
"Arrived at the ***** residence. ************** was not home but Mrs. ***** was. I informed her why we were here and that we will be doing a clean up and sweep of her and her neighbors property. She thanked me and said she would have called us to come out and clean but didnt know how to contact us. Informed her if she needs anything in the future to look us up online all of our contact information is on ***************** Apple Maps etc.. also asked that she speak with her husband once we are done cleaning to update his review with BBB. Cleaned up any and all trash that was left over from roof as well as sticks and personal trash if theres in there yard. Once we were finished cleaning the ***** yard. I went next door to the neighbors on the left of the ***** knocked on door and rang Ring door **** with no answer. Cleaned and inspected neighbors property found little to no trash that was personally ours. *************** seemed very grateful and happy that her yard is now very clean."
They filled a small plastic grocery bag with the debris they found on 2/22/24. We do apologize for the inconvenience and any time the customer spent cleaning up debris. Hopefully they understand it was a construction site and it's virtually impossible to get every small piece of debris. Coast To Coast Exteriors always strives to be perfect and again would have gladly come back if the customer had contacted us.
As far as the race claims the customer makes in his complaint they are totally unfounded and ridiculous. Not that it matters but as a side note our customer base and employee base is very diversified not to mention our company is owned by 2 minorities.
