On May 19th my mom met with ************************* to enhance her kitchen cabinets. At that time she paid $1512.50, half down. He never got back to her, so I contacted him after my mom passed away on 7/11/22. I met with him on August 17th and paid $3487.50. I changed cabinets to be opaque white. ************************* made a complete mess of every cabinet, there are 48! I have paint sprayed on new double over, new dishwasher, inside cabinets on items in cabinets, pots, pans glassware etc. Tile backslash torn off, spray paint on skylights where he didn't cover while spraying primer, paint torn off of wall from where he taped and had so much paint it took existing paint off walls, missing cabinets hinges, cabinet shelving paint on 5 glass cabinet doors. Ive documented the entire timeline. Job was not a manufacturer look as specifically described. I have uploaded all pertinent paperwork. I hired someone else to put cabinets back on so I can function normally but will need to have this redone. The right way. I'm seeking reimbursement for the 2 deposits provided which is $5000.00. I have filed a dispute with citicards credit card and filing complaint here on BBB and contacting the attorney *************** ************************* has no clue what he is doing and should not be permitted to continue with his business.

    Business Response

    Date: 12/13/2022

    Good Afternoon,

In response to complaint ********. The cabinet doors and drawer fronts were dropped of per, ******************-Benders request at 4:30pm on, 11/5/2022, Saturday. Via text message, there was a gentleman there to help unload the doors and drawer faces. After delivery, I texted letting her know that I appreciated her accommodating my schedule and asked what time on the following Monday 11/7/2022 would work best for her, for me to hang the doors, clean up the remainder of the project and to get everything put back together for her. I did not receive a response to that text, as we all have busy schedules and gave it a day for her to respond. I didnt hear anything on that Monday and texted again on Tuesday, 11/8/2022 again asking what time would be best for me to hang the doors, finish clean up and complete the project. I did not receive a response to that either.

Now, a month afterwards, I get BBB letter regarding complaint ******** requesting a full refund. With the project still pending (to my knowledge) and uncommunicated of when to finish, the final invoice was never sent and due to the unique circumstances of the project, Tri-County N-Hance Wood Renewal is prepared to endure the loss of the final invoice. The balance of $3062.90 (after a 5% discount) still existing, there will not be a refund issued. I feel that being able to correct any issues and to clean-up/complete the project would have been a time to discuss concerns or issues, but was not provided with that option.

    Regards,

    ****************************

    Customer Answer

    Date: 12/15/2022

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

After reviewing response from NHance - NO the company has not addressed the issue.  He never contacted me after he dropped on the cabinet doors, which is his typical way of business.  Additionally, the condition of the cabinet doors was absolutely incomplete and he should have never brought them to me that way if they were "completed".  After having them for over 5 weeks, they should have been done, properly.

The agreement and what NHance offers is a manufactured look rather than replacing cabinets with new ones.  This is again is absolutely unacceptable and not the case.  As previously stated, there is an issue with every single cabinet and there are 53 of them.  In order for NHance, ****, to rectify the situation, he would have to start all over again and sand what he did and then repaint the base cabinets and again all the cabinets.  The timeline was a week, not 5 weeks and the most unprofessional job.  ***** has extremely poor communication as also mentioned in my initial complaint that is was 6 days and a text informing him I was filing a police report from the advise of my estate attorney.  I literally, texted numerous times, called, emailed, sent message on his ******** account and no reponse for 6 days.

This initiated in May 2022 with my mom who has since passed away.  She gave him $1500.00.  He never contacted her to schedule the work that he said he was going to provide her.  I contacted him after I found his information at my moms house, to inform him she passed away.  That was 2 months later.  Then I met with him in August 2022 and he didnt start the process until October.  Ive had a contractor out to inspect cabinets and his professional opinion is that it is just primer on cabinet bases and cabinet doors.  He did not complete the process of giving it a "manufactured" look as they advertise.  He stated it would all have to be redone, the right way.  Which is why I expect reimbursement for all monies provided to ************************* NHance.   I should not have to pay for a service not provided for that amount of money $5000.00.  He was aware of the damage done to inside of cabinets, and to my personal items in cabinets, along with paint on oven etc.  He said his tape and covering failed and fell off.  Well he should have fixed the problems then, not waiting week after week - along with placed I had paint on the wall there are numerous marks of paint missing from the excessive amount of tape he used in the process.  So I took the time to clear out cabinets to provide the adequate amount of space 1-2 inches, had boxes stacked throughout the house to accomodate for this work and he still managed to damage numerous personal items.  The oven he said he wipes it off with alcohol - well he should have wiped it the moment he saw the paint.  I called GE - the double oven is a GE Profile with a touch screen.  They said absolutely NOT to put alcohol on screen it will damage it further.  it would be consistant with wiping your phone with alcohol.  **** has proven he has no clue what he is doing - he attended a seminar and does not have a true trade experience and it reflecks in his work.  or lack of.  Having cabinets off and everything exposed, which i thought was going to be a week ended up 6 weeks, we have 2 dogs that are young and curious so I was contstantly having to block off inside of cabinets with cutting boards putting a gate up ect.  I have been extremely inconvenced and I have been very patient with ****.  If he did somewhat of a good job and there were just a few touch *** thats a different story then coming in, not doing anything remotely near manufactured cabinets, destroying items, paint on oven, dishwasher, glass on cabinets with glass are sprayed with paint, glass shelves that he placed on top of cabinets where he told me paint doesnt go up since he did not secure top portion of cathedral ceiling - well paint does go up, its on the glass shelves, its on the skylights.  then the paint ripped off walls, tile backsplash a large scale piece is off and just missing, etc.  this is not touch *** this is a disaster.  He claims there was a moisture issue with cabinet doors paint or "color", he always corrects me saying its not paint it color - color of what - paint?  when there were no moisture issues at house with base cabinets they just were not covered in color thoroghly in numerous areas and as mentioned paint in areas where there shouldnt be.   The original day he was supposed to bring finished cabinet doors and installed - he just didnt show up - no text no call nothing - 6 hours later - after i rearranged my entire day because he texted me that morning saying he was on his way - then is a no show - thats when my attorney said this is not right, call the police.  Then when he finally called, he was laughing at how angry i was.  I told him, what is wrong with you, you think all of this is a joke and funny to you??  I was beyond furious and rightfully so.  If my 83 year old mother had to endure all this - she couldnt of - he would of totally tried to take advantage of her and it would have given her nightmares - her kitchen was her domain.  She would have been physcially sick over all this and ***et , again with every right.   A full refund is the only resolution and I will keep fighting until thats the end result.  I have to then hire a different company that actually knows what they are doing to have it done correctly and professionally.  The flaws are not fixable without redoing the entire project.

    Regards,
