The vehicle was towed in locked.  We had to use an entry kit to unlock the vehicle because the lock cylinder in the door where the key goes would not turn to allow the car to be unlocked.  After opening the car we found the lock cylinder was frozen up and the electronic door latch was bad.  We replaced the door latch and attempted to repair the door lock cylinder due to the fact that they are no longer available from the dealer.  We were able to get the lock cylinder to turn and reinstalled it.  Allowing the vehicle to be locked and unlocked.

There was a miscommunication on the first attempt of pick up that the car was finished, however it was not.  So ***** offered her a 10% refund for the inconvenience.  When the vehicle was attempted to be picked up the second time, the refund was given and the customer tested the lock with the key and the part that we attempted to repair failed and would not spring back to neutral position causing the windows to operate, which is a standard feature on the vehicle.  They left the vehicle so we could attempt to find a solution.  After much research we were able to locate an aftermarket lock cylinder for the vehicle.

I spoke with the customer this morning and informed them of this and that we would order it and install it at no charge and that the car should be ready on Monday.  They stated that they were ok with this solution.  I also informed them that due to the age of the car lots of parts are no longer available and options for repair are limited and we are doing everything we could to help them out.

The customer was already told that there is no option to get the remote working.  As stated in my previous response, we found an aftermarket door lock cylinder with a key online that we have already ordered and agreed to install for no charge to the customer.  The part is supposed to arrive today.  The vehicle has been sitting inside our shop taken apart and waiting for the new part till arrive since the 7th.

Yes, i did talk to ***** about the windows when I went to get my car on 2/6 and he told me that the windows was supposed to be doing that, I gave him the keys. Later that day ***** called to discuss about my car, but I didn't understand so I asked if he could talk to my boyfriend and tell him.  He agreed. After talking to my boyfriend I was told ***** transferred the remote to a regular key and I am ok with that as l9ng as I can lock and unlock my doors.  ***** never told me, that with my car being an older model the parts would be hard to find. He knew what kind of car I had prior to dropping it off, if it was difficult to fix, that should've been the time to say so but he didn't. So I assumed they could fix it.

I called today 2/11 to check on my car talked to *****. He stated the part came in yesterday at 4:30pm and they are working on it and will call me back when they are done.

    Be blessed
