May 20, 2022 I had an appointment at 9:30a. The manager didn't start on my hair until closer to 10a if not after. I explained to her that I wanted all my braids into a *** the same size before setting the appointment. I reiterated it before she got started. She said she understood. Services would be $180. While there she told me that it'll be an extra charge of $20 to have the ends burned. I had understood. She made me pay before she even got started. I paid with card ending in ****. The front and the sides were small and everything in the back was big. I paid $200 to have all my braids the same size. I even told her sister the same thing before she finished up what the manager started. She claimed to have understood. They braid hair so tight that even if I wanted to look in the back, I couldn't because of the tightness. Once I realized they weren't the same size I called the manager. She told me to come up to the shop at 3p to discuss it. I went up there, she wasn't there and her sister was. The sister who did majority of my hair. When I explained to the sister that I requested all my braids to be the same size she said, "If we braid them all the same size it would take longer and we'd miss out on other money!" As a professional that provides services, braids being one of them, I provide my customers what they ask for not what I want them to have. I quote them on a price for the services they are requesting. The manager refused to do anything about the situation. Even when I asked her about a solution. The manager is the one who initially said, "Take me to court!" When I saw there would be no resolve and told her I was going to the Attorney General. That was her response to the initial complaint. I was in the parking lot of her business at this time speaking to her on the phone. It was my fault for assuming that I'd receive the services I'd requested and paid for. Attached are the photos of the back of my hair.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Ms. ****** had ample time to respond before the deadline. Here it is November and now she wants to respond. At this point, the business isn't willing to hold themselves accountable for their actions. Apparently, every braider in the store is referred to or claims to be ******** "sister" but very well may not be. There are cameras posted in the establishment. Maybe Ms. ****** will be willing to submit footage of the day that she's rebutting(customers were there) and the day I got my hair done(once again ****** made us all pay before receiving services and I have bank statements to prove it). Everything that I I've stated is facts. Ms. ******* doesn't have any policy posted throughout her establishment on "fixing braids". Ms. ******** policy is not realistic due to customers not being able to see what their hair looks like underneath the small braids until the braids loosen up. I'm a professional braider, even I know this. The point in case, is that I asked for a service that I did not receive and Ms. ****** wasn't willing to rectify the situation. Even when I asked for a solution before requesting a refund. At this point, I will be filing with small claims court which is going to cost her more than the $200 hair style. I will also be providing all the evidence I have pertaining to this situation. -********************
