I was enrolled with Ivy tech community college and ended up unenrolling so i could enroll in another school. ******** has held my pell ***** even after i had unenrolled. I attempted to make an appointment with advisors and was told they don't help with that. I texted my advisor and was ignored, called him and was ignored. I've called financial support and student support a minimum of 5 times in the last week to be told they would call me back and have received no call backs. Each time i've attempted to use the 24/7 chat support i'm told they will submit a ticket and resolve the issue. Now i'm about a month away from the term starting with my new school and they're not able to apply my student aid because ******** is still holding it. it seems no matter what route i take i'm told they will be in touch and nothing happens. Almost like they've received the aid already and do not want to give it back. I would greatly appreciate help getting this released so i can move on and start with my new school.Initial Complaint

I was enrolled in college fall of 2024. I had to withdraw from my classes due to health issues and not having internet. I withdrew 2 days prior to the deadlines. They kept my loan money from aid and are also billing me for over half of what they already took. This college needs to be looked into cause if they have done it to me who else have they done this too. Why do I have to pay for loans when I didnt even take the classes? Plus they want me to pay a bill when I withdrew from the classes. How is this fair when all you are trying to do is better yourself. I also got ahold of my student advisor prior to all of this and never got a response from them either.Initial Complaint

I previously worked for this company and was given tuition assistance to finish a degree, in 2021. I was supposed to work for 3 years to wipe out the debt. The school became a very hostile, toxic work environment. I filed my complaints through HR for a resolution and nothing was done. I had to take a mental health leave break for 3 months while they decided to fix the problem. I was notified nothing was going to be changed/fixed within the department and my mental health was not being considered, so I was forced to resign. I submitted written correspondence that I believed the debt to invalid due to them not creating a safe work environment. I received zero correspondence from them after my notification about the debt being invalid. I was notified they would be taking my IN tax return and had 70 days to claim it. I appealed and was told I would hear back in 10 days, but nothing came. Their FAQ's say my husband can file an injured spouse request to not take his part of the refund. I contacted them and they have refused to five me the information on how to do so. My husband filed the appeal in the IN **** of ******** They denied it saying it had to go through ********, who has refused to provide information on the process. Then I was told my appeal "can entail a considerable duration". Now, the clock is ticking on the 70 day timeframe and I am being given the runaround on when I might get a say in the matter and they are completely blocking my husband from getting information on how to appeal as an injured spouse. They have failed to respond to my email requests for the information or requests for an appropriate point of contact in the tax off-set appeal department. So it seems they can ********************* for ****************************************************** my husband, having any say. They are blocking us from utilizing our rights, as well as blocking us from due process. Now my husband only has 30 days from March 7th to file, so by March 30th.Initial Complaint

I have been enrolled at ******** since January 2021. There have been multiple incidents that I have faced a hardship due to trying to remain in school as a non-traditional student. I went through a horrible divorce, I have faced homelessness twice trying to not drop out, I had COVID and the latest incident was a major anxiety attack from extenuating circumstances and have been penalized for it. I just received approval to graduate on May 13, 2023. My degree audits were ran and came back clean and I have been given all the instructions and information for graduation. My 82-year-old mom and 25-year-old middle son bought their airline tickets to fly from ********** to watch me graduate. Two weeks ago I had a major anxiety attack, and although most of my work was complete, I missed the deadline to turn it in at 11:59 pm. I emailed my instructor long before the deadline to advise her I wasn't feeling well and didn't know what was going on. I honestly thought I was having a heart attack or stroke. The next thing I remember is it was 7:00 am the following morning and I was on the floor. I emailed my instructor again to let her know what I thought had happened. Without even having a conversation, she gave me zeros on everything. Long story short, she failed me after I carried a 93% or higher all semester, scored a 95% on my final and even after her not allowing me to take a 100 point exam and failed me on a competency, I ended the class with an *****%. But I failed the course because of a telephone competency and my medical assisting refused to even talk to me about it or tell me what I had missed on the competency. I have made numerous attempts to reach out to administration to no avail. If I don't pass this class, I can't take one of my 2nd half classes and I don't graduate. I cannot get any help from anyone at either the Muncie or Columbus campuses. The school wants to keep me from graduating over an anxiety attack because my body and mental health couldn't take anymore.Initial Complaint

This claim references;******** student ID #********* ************************ Acct #******* Taxpayer ID # ********** Unbeknownst to me I had an outstanding balance years ago with ********. Instead of reaching out to me to notify, they turned me over to their debt collection partner, *****************************. I found out the hard way when they withheld my tax return last year. Upon receipt of a letter from the ************ of ******** I contacted W&F and set up a payment plan. Now in the interim, I had contacted ******** to confirm the offset with W&F and the **** so it would pay down my balance and not 'stay in limbo' as it had for several weeks. I had to write SEVERAL emails and make several phone calls just to motivate ******** to do their job! After almost 1 month and plenty of frustration later, notification was sent to all parties. Now, INDOR has applied another offset for my Automatic Taxpayer Refund that was just issued. I am having difficulty once again with ******** to notify all parties of this applied amount of $127.00 to my W&F account #*******.I want this resolved once and for all. After this $127.00 has been applied I will have only owed $5.49 which I HAVE PAID bringing this to a close and debt paid off!!!Additionally, I want ******** to also contact both ************************ AND the ****************** of ******* and shut down (close, cancel) this offset process on against IMMEDIATELY! And close my account because account is paid in full!!! I also request a letter reflecting same.
