The owner, ****, came to my home on 2/9 to provide an estimate for repairing a large crack in my bathtub. He said they would have to do a "full rebuild and refinish" and it would cost $1,029. He said, "it comes with a 5 year warranty on the adhesive, when we are finished with it you and ******************************* it and it won't crack". I paid a $400 deposit at the time of the estimate. The job was done on 2/14 and 2/15 and I paid the remaining $629 after the job was completed on 2/15. We used the tub for the first time on 2/17 and there was a crack and bubbling in the adhesive after 1 use. I called the company on 2/19 to inform them of the issue, they asked me to send photos. After I sent photos they said they were going to schedule **** to come out to look at it on 2/23. He didn't show up. I sent a message asking when someone was coming after he was an hour and a half late and then someone named **** (she said she was another owner) called to tell me he wasn't coming at all. Eventually, they scheduled a technician to do a repair on 3/9 at no charge as part of the warranty. The technician said he thought it happened because he used too much lacquer when cleaning during the initial application. We used the tub on 3/11 and there were 2 new cracks/bubbles in completely different spots. I called on 3/12 to inform the company. They asked for photos which I sent while I was still on the phone with them and she said they would talk to the technician the following morning and call that day. I called them 45 minutes before they closed the following day because I had not heard anything. They claimed they just received the photos and someone would call me the next day. I told the girl on the phone I wanted to talk to someone in charge about a refund since I have paid over 1k and can't use my tub. She said it would be discussed with the owners and they would call me in a few days. Now it has been a week and now the company will not respond to my messages or return my callBusiness Response

Ms. **** should now be satisfied. A Technician was out on March 9, 2024 to deal with issues that arose from the repair. When that did not solve the issue, on March 30, 2024, AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE, the entire bottom of her tub was cut out, the rotten areas underneath her tub were repaired and an entire new bottom was installed in her tub.Initial Complaint

I contracted this company to redo my farm house kitchen sink. The first appointment the tech arrived 2 hours late, did a rush job that did not hold up and it had to be done all over again. The owner came out and agreed it was not done correctly and needed redone. The second tech had issues with the coating he applied and it had to be done a 3rd time. I requested a well seasoned tech but when the 3rd tech arrived he had only been with the company a month and again it was not done properly. The owner came out again and agreed it was not done properly, would send someone out to wet sand the debris in the coating that left pits and roughness. That did not work they agreed they would send someone out to redo this again. Covid hit and the apt had to be cancelled. I got real sick with covid, and due to the strong fumes and smell of the coating I called and asked if they would agree to wait till spring of this year to redo my sink and they agreed. I contacted them in March asking if I could get an appointment to get this corrected and they asked me to send update photos of the sink so they would know how much time to allow for this procedure. I did, received an acknowledge they got the photos. I didnt hear anything from the owner so I called back and they apologized for not getting back to me but said they would make an apt to get this done but were booked until the middle of July. We made the apt and when they came out today, they refused to do my sink. They said the sink issues were not do to poor quality work but wear and tear and wanted another $450 to redo the sink. I talk to the office manager and told her I had confirmation they received my photos in March, agreed to do this work and are now refusing. I want this fixed and feel they have been given many opportunities to do so. The owner inspected the work his self, agreed it was not done right and would fix it. The rest of the sink is fine, just the bottom of the sink is all I want repaired.Business Response

May of 2019 Miracle Method repaired significant rust and refinished a vintage metal sink for ***************. Per company policy, there is a one year warranty on repairs and sinks. This information was communicated via the back of the estimate form she received, as well as verbally.
There were some issues with the refinishing and Miracle Method went back out the end of November 2019 to assess what needed to be completed. Due to extenuating circumstances with the global pandemic, Technicians were unable to get back to the ***** Residence to work on the sink further until November and December 2020. Some rust issues were addressed and some other issues with the finish were repaired. The end of November 2020, *************** signed off on a satisfaction of service.
*************** contacted us again in July of 2022. Warranty is completely expired, but Miracle Method was willing to go out and perform some touch up work on the sink if there was a failure with the work completed the end of 2020. Pictures were sent by *************** regarding issues with the bottom of her sink. When the experienced Technician arrived, it was determined that the refinishing had not failed and there was damage to the bottom of the sink from use. *************** was informed that there is a charge associated with repairs and she was not willing to pay for the repairs.
Miracle Method performed all work in good faith, made the repairs that were a result of any refinishing issues. The outstanding issues in her sink are from customer use of a vintage sink and ***************************************** will not make any additional repairs free of charge.

Regards,
*******************Please see the attached document. Miracle Method did come out and redo my sink but the defects were made when their tech pulled the exhaust hose out of the window and all the debris. **** came out and looked at the mess, agreed they would try and buff it out if possible but it was not possible. The tech called him from our home and told him it was to deep in the coating and would have to be sanded down again and then coated again since it was not possible to repair. **** agreed to this but now has gone back on his word of making it right. I am only asking for them to repair the part they sanded down and resurface it.

When the Technician arrived, there were no outstanding issues from any ventilation. The only issues that the Technician saw and documented with a photograph were cuts and chipping due to cuts in the bottom of the sink. The Technician called the office and did not perform any work on the sink. *************** was advised that the cuts were not warranty or workmanship and a charge would apply. The Technician returned to the office without performing any work. Miracle Method is willing to scuff and reshoot the entire bottom of the sink to repair the damage from the cuts for $450.00. This is the same amount quoted over the phone to *************** in July before the Technician left.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]The company has in no way reached out to me to try and resolve this. I sent them pictures in March, they acknowledged received the updated photos and then made the appointment. I have tried to talk to the owner and he will not take my calls. He was the one who agreed that 3 times his techs messed up this job and promised he would make it right when I requested my money back.
He is not upholding his end of the deal nor sticking to his promise to fix this mess. His tech accidently dumped debris in my newly treated sink, he said there was nothing they could do until it dried, they tried buffing some of it out but could not so he promised me he would come back and sand the bottom of the sink and re-shoot it again and all would be well. I am not asking for the whole sink to be re-done, just the bottom they sanded down trying to remove the debirs, which they couldnt, but the sanding they did removed almost all the finish therefore leaving my sink in a compromised state and then refusing to fix it again. This has nothing to do with the warranty, this has to do with them fixing their mistakes which they have made in the 3 attempts to restore my old farm sink. All I am asking for is my sink to be put back in the condition as it was promised per our contract or refund my money. Their techs screwed this up at all 3 attempts and the current condition of the sink has nothing to do with wear and daily use. It has to do with the state they left it in due to poor workmanship. The last tech had never restored a sink and had been with the company less than 30 days so he really didnt have a clue what he was doing. So ****, the owner, promised to send out a seasoned tech to fix his mistakes and make us whole per our contract.

This is our final response to **************** The Technician sent out for the final visit to *************** is indeed a seasoned Technician with years of experience and has done many sinks. At this response, he is working on one in our shop. He has enough experience to take photos and contact the office when what he saw in the actual sink was not as described by the customer. I refer to our previous response.
"When the Technician arrived, there were no outstanding issues from any ventilation. The only issues that the Technician saw and documented with a photograph were cuts and chipping due to cuts in the bottom of the sink. The Technician called the office and did not perform any work on the sink. *************** was advised that the cuts were not warranty or workmanship and a charge would apply. This is the same amount quoted over the phone to *************** in July before the Technician left."

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]The problem is from the tech who did the last treatment. When he went to pull the exhaust hose from the window all the debris from the hoes covered the sink. A week after the incident they sent someone out to try and buff the debris from the coating and when the tech called and told the owner **** he could not get it all buffed the owner **** came out and saw it for himself. He asked me what I wanted them to do and I said after 3 attempts to restore my sink I would like my money back and he said that was not an option and promised me if I gave them 1 more try they would do it right and I would be happy.
I agreed to the 4th attempt to make it right but on the 4th trip. The 4th appointment was cancelled due to Covid and when they called to schedule I had covid and they agreed to wait until the spring of this year to redo the sink. I started calling in January and it was March before I could get my appointment as the office manager said **** would need to call me to schedule this appointment as she could not tell from his notes in my file how long to schedule for the appointment. He never returned my call and finally after several weeks of trying to get this scheduled she had me send updated pictures told me she would personally walk them in to him, she acknowledged by text receiving them and said she would call me or have him call me to set the appointment up. Finally after a week of not hearing back I called back again and she said she would go ahead and make an executive decision, scheduled the appointment for 6 hours in July (had to wait 4 months for the appointment) and said she would talk to **** to make sure that time would allow them to do the work and if not call me back. I never heard back from them again until a few days before the appointment reminding me of my appointment and that they would arrive 2 hours later than orginally scheduled. The tech arrived, no tools in hand which I thought was odd, took a picture of my sink, walked outside and 15 minutes late come back in and said the office would call me but he wouldnt be re-doing my sink that day after all. Needless to say I was not happy after missing another days work, and I did all the prep work and all they had to do was come in and start the job. According to the office manager, there were notes in my file confirming all this and not sure why the owner is going back on his word and is now refusing to make this right.
The condition of my sink is not due to daily wear but due to it being compromised by them trying to buff the debris out. The rest of my sink is in beautiful condition and still looks new. The only part needing redone is the bottom where all the debris landed. That is all I am asking is for them to make right what they screwed up as they promised they would do.
