    On oct 9 2024 we paid $250 for career counseling with ********************** career counseling. We scheduled the zoom meeting to go over the results for Dec 9 2024. When Dr. ********************** came on the zoom meeting she had stated that she is 93 and proceeded to talk for the next hour about how my son was a genius and very bright and should go to *******************************. She said he wont know what he should do career wise until he is 40 because that is when his brain developed but he can do anything he wants to do. She said he is smarter than his peers because he has an IQ of 130. My son has not taken an IQ test and their website states that they do not do IQ testing. She went over his test results and contradicted herself several times, such as stating he should go into business and then later stating he should not go into business. She gave no real career counseling at all, she gave terrible advice in stating he should go to **** ******* because his GPA is no where near the acceptance GPA for that school and when asked a question she just stated take him to **** *******. At one point she said he can save the world. The whole encounter felt fraudulent and not helpful at all. We feel we did not receive the services that are stated on the website and I have reached out via email 3 times with no response. I also spoke with a coworker who states she went through the same thing 2 years ago with her daughter, so this seems to be a reoccurring issue not an isolated incident. I believe Debrota career counseling is taking money and not providing the intended services and should not be in operation as a counseling service when they provide no real career counseling.
