Complaint : I took my custom-made computer to the above business 5 months ago because the screen was broken. They charged me $250.00 and we agreed. However, before fixing the screen, I got a call from an employee of the business by the name of ******, who stated to me that he had inadvertently burned my motherboard. He informed me that I should go to the business so that we can hash it out. Upon arrival, he took full responsibility and said he would get me a replacement computer. Unfortunately though, the computer he wanted to replace with mine was just a common basic computer that could be seen everywhere. I informed him that I was disappointed and displeased knowing that a special custom-made computer that I bought for my daughter would no longer be available to her. I said I would accept the basic one just in order that we can get to a consensus and some type of resolution but on condition that I would no longer be liable for the $250.00 that they originally charged me to fix my custom-made computer. To them, that was unacceptable and thereafter, they decided that they would instead try to get me a motherboard, fix my custom-made computer, and I pay them their $250.00. I said that was absolutely fine with me. After one month of fruitless search, they came back to me and indicated that they were not able to get a motherboard for my custom-made computer and that I should go to back to their store to figure out a way forward. I went to the store and upon arrival, they proposed to me again that I should take the basic computer but must also pay them some money. I said I was not prepared to do that. The boss informed me that since I was not ready to pay their service fees, I should leave the store without my custom-made computer that is still with them and damaged, and nor do I get the basic computer that was meant to serve as a replacement. Hence, I decided to reach out to your office to see if you can resolve this deadlock. It is more than 5 months now and counting, my daughter has been denied a computer as a result of their professional misconduct.
