On August ******* I went to pick up my shirt which was brand new and I only wore it once and took it to the **** Cleaners. I noticed that my shirt color changed and the threading was coming out of the shirt along with the bottom of the shirt and collar of the shirt looked choppy. I ask the lady that check me out for the manager. The lady said that the manager is out that she would take my phone number and have the manager give me a call back. I waited a week and the manager never called me back. I always call in the morning and in the afternoon to try and get the manager to pick up and I never get an answer. The voicemail keeps popping on and so I leave messages. I took my time off work to drive all the way to the cleaners around 1:00 PM thinking that the manager will be there and I was told that the manager was not there again. The cashier said that she would take my phone number and she will personally call me, but she never heard from her either. I would like a refund of the amount of $30 for the shirt. As Ive been waiting almost 3 months for someone to call me back and not one call from anyone.Initial Complaint

I dropped off 4 pieces of clothing (3 for dry cleaning, 1 white shirt for laundry) on Friday, 10/13/2023 at 4:42 pm. I picked the garments up on Saturday, 10/14/2023 at 6:06 pm. On Tuesday, 10/17/2023, I realized that the shirt I had laundered had been damaged; it was discolored (turned grey) and was scorched (material puckered and ruined) in several locations. I immediately took it back to the dry cleaners and the clerk who assisted me took the shirt and assured me that the manager, ****, would get back to me within the next day or so. The clerk said it was a process to get the cost of the shirt reimbursed and offered me the option of just taking an in-store credit on dry cleaning instead. I declined that offer and said that I wanted a refund on the ruined shirt since I would need to purchase a new one. I showed the clerk the receipt for the shirt via my phone (as I had purchased it on Amazon); she told me to bring a paper copy of the receipt for the manager (which I did the next day). I contacted the dry cleaners on 10/16 as I had not heard from the manager and was told she would follow up with me that week. I did not hear from her so I contacted the dry cleaners again on 10/23/2023 and asked for a phone number for the manager (as I had still not heard from her); I left a voicemail message and have still not heard from anyone from Zips regarding my ruined shirt. I simply want to be reimbursed for the item they damaged so I can purchase a replacement.Initial Complaint

Broken Zipper on Purple Down Coat: I took my coat in to be cleaned. I dont remember the date. They serviced it and returned it to me as always. The weather was warmer so there was no need to wear it. When it turned cold again I took my coat out to wear it but the zipper did not work. On 28 Mar I took the coat back to complain about the zipper not working. The Associate *** tried to get it to work but couldnt. He told me the Manager would be in touch. No one called so I went back the end of the week and told him no one had called to discuss the issue. He told me the Manager said it had been pass 30 days and they couldnt do anything. I told him that was unacceptable and she needed to call and talk with me. I left the coat again and came back the following week on 6 April. Again the Manager was not there. *** called but she did not respond. I told *** this is the worse service Ive ever received when the Manager of a store can damage your items and not even discuss the problem with the customer. Ive used this company since it opened and Ive never had a problem with any of my items. This Purple Down Coat has been cleaned a number of times and never a problem. I didnt realized that I had to inspect my items immediately after picking them up whether I was ready to wear them or not. Ive actually had this coat cleaned one year and never wore it until the following year and everything was always fine. I took my coat to an alteration company called **** Alterations and its going to cost $50.00 to repair the zipper. Im requesting that ZIPS Cleaners reimburse me for this cost and the Manager actually speak with the me and not evade me or my concerns. I think her service was rude and inconsiderate of the customer needs.Initial Complaint

I brought my coat in on 1/19/23. I've had this same coat cleaned at this same location before. So I picked my coat up around 6:30pm right before they closed and I didn't notice anything different at the time. The next day (1/20/23) I pull my coat out of the plastic it came in & I see that the faux fur on the hood was COMPLETELY SINGED. Not only that but it was still damp. I tried calling the location I had the service done at, & not once did they didn't answer the phone. So I brought the coat in, & I asked for a supervisor. She was very nonchalant but did offer to finish drying my coat for free & pay me for the faux fur piece. So I thought things would go alright with this claim. She proceeded to ask me how much I wanted for the piece & in return I said I don't know how much it would cost to replace the individual piece or if that's even possible. So I contacted the *********************** store located at the mall, up the street from the cleaners. The man I spoke to said it could cost a couple hundred dollars IF it's even replaceable. So I went back in & only quoted her $130. She then proceeded to say "they want $130 for a fur piece". I informed her that the coat itself cost $300 & that i'm not 100% sure if the faux fur piece can even be replaced individually. She said she could only give me $60, anything more than that would have to be approved by the owner & that the owner will try to negotiate the price down. Again the coat cost $300, so they wouldn't be able to talk the price down. I filled out a claim, & took a copy with me when I left. I contacted *********************** again for a second opinion & the faux fur piece can't be individually replaced. I have proof of the live chat I had with an expert. I have been trying to contact corporate & NOTHING. I know this just happened but you would think that they would show more care & concern due to their mistake. I don't want this to be dragged along for 30+ days & having my NICE winter coat ruined like this, is very upsetting.Initial Complaint

Zips damaged an item of my clothing that I had taken in before. It was a wrap that you wear over another shirt. It was in perfect condition when I took it in but when I went to put it on after dry cleaning, there were multiple small holes throughout the items. I took it in to show them and they said it wasnt their fault but they would show manager and have call when they got back from vacation. The manager never called. I called again and they said again it was not my fault but they would have manager call. I called a week later, since I hadnt heard anything and they said they were going to send away for testing and would call me. I have not heard back again. They said dry cleaning could make holes but not that many. As I told them I had brought in before without any problems and I cant understand why it was fine when came in and damaged when came home. I originally saw at Evereve for $74 but found a new online on a consignment site but it isnt available anywhere anymore. I found a similar one on sale. Attached a photo with the $59.99 sale price and there is normally a $5.95 shipping cost.
