1 starService Plus came out to inspect my old A/C unit which I knew needed replaced. The technician was nice and did a deep clean of the unit but did show me the bad readings for the capacitor and low R2 coolant. I informed him I was looking to replace entirely and he sent for a sales representative. When the sales representative got to my home I immediately knew something was fishy as he did a small sweep of the systems and tried to convince me to replace my furnace which at the time was less than 2 years old. I said I wasn't interested but he informed me that the company doesn't typically install A/C or furnaces my themselves and would drastically increase the price for a single unit rather than getting it in a pair. I was confused and being naive agreed. When I asked for a quote he said that it was impossible to give me a quote until I signed the contract stating that I would buy an A/C & FURNACE from Service Plus. I read over the contract and saw that ******* had a Buyers Remorse Clause so I went ahead and signed. After that, he proceeded to show me 'tiers' of systems, again with no price and with no information on system ratings, seer number, nor recommended square footage size. I knew that this was a complete scam, picked the lowest model to his dismay, he left and I immediately canceled the contract. Frankly unbelievable that a company can be allowed to operate like this.Review fromJonathan V

1 starService plus installed a broken AC/heating unit that they dropped on installation and I have the paperwork from a Service plus employee stating this occurred. this company has yet to let me speak to any manager over the 15 plus calls i have made to customer ********************** and i have been ***eatedly told by customer ********************** that their managers are busy or they will call me back. I filed a claim in small claims court and won a " verified motion for default judgement" on march ******* and i have yet to receive any money from this company after the court awarded me $10,000. I have called the company 4x today and the customer ********************** *** has not let me speak to a manager, legal department or anyone from quality assurance. this is unacceptable that i had to take this company to court, the judge awarded the verdict in my favor and this company still is making me chase down money that is lawfully owed to me by the ******** Superior Court No. 7.Review fromSylvia C

1 starWe have used Service Plus for annual plumbing and HVAC maintenance service for 3 years and found them to be more eager to sell new, expensive products to us than servicing our systems in a professional manner. They told us to replace our 5 years old water heater when it was working fine. They came to check the furnace but created heavy smoke and acrid burning smell through all the vents and couldn't explain why. They didn't find out our filter was the wrong size (4" too short) for 3 years. They got us to pay $390 to clean the rotor inside the furnace but it came back as dirty as before. They came one time without a water test kit to test if the water was soft. Then, on Feb 7, 2025, our water softener was overflowing with water. We called them. But they didn't bother to check what went wrong and if it could be repaired. They just told us to get a replacement which they could do the same day. They told us it cost $3,500 but lowered it to $3,200. My husband and I are in our 70's and had never used water softeners before. It was a Friday afternoon. We thought we had to switch off the water supply to stop the overflowing, which meant we would have no water to use over the weekend. We thought we had no choice but to go along. Afterwards, we checked around and realized the brand and model they installed costs only $725. It took them only 2 hours to install it since all the wiring and piping are already in place. All they needed to do was to hook it up to the existing pipes. Even if their labor cost is $500/hr., that's just $1000. Assuming they make a cut on the price of the softener by jacking it up to $1,000, the total would still sum up to only around $2000, Clearly, we got ripped off by an unscrupulous company that takes advantage of helpless old people in distress. We called and emailed the company many times asking them to send us an itemized invoice to show how they came up with $3,200 or have a manager call us. They never responded. We will never use them again.Review fromAnd P

1 starIf I could give a 0, I would. For your safety and bank account, I would not recommend this company. We needed a new water heater. After paying a ridiculous amount of money for it, we had a gas leak for 5 days. After the technician broke part of our water softener while installing the tankless water heater, we smelled gas after he left. He came to our house the next morning to repair the water softener and we mentioned our concern of the gas smell and he said it was completely normal and would go away. The next day the smell of gas was even stronger. I called for someone to come out and they could hear the hiss of gas when they examined the unit. It was never connected correctly and gas was leaking for 3 days! The next day, the smell was even worse!! The same service tech came out and realized that there was a second gas leak that he did not see the day before. He repaired it. Needless to say, a gas leak inside of your home, for 5 days is completely unsafe and fortunately nothing happened to us or our home. We have called multiple times to speak to someone and no one returns our calls. They got their $10K and that is all they care about. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!Review fromTony L

1 starWe had Service Plus come out to unclog a kitchen sink drain on 03/28/24. They sent "***" to clear my line, as he attempted to clear the line he informed me that copper drain lines are typically very brittle and can have issues when cables are ran through them. I left the kitchen and a few minutes later *** informed me that his cable had pulled back what looks like mud and my copper drain line was leaking. I told *** that we have lived in our house since 1985 and have had to clear this kitchen drain before and never had this type of problem and my copper line was fine before he ran his cable through it. *** then presented me with his repair quote for $4,936.57 to "Break up the flooring and jackhammer the concrete install new drain lines under the slab for the kitchen, reinstall the drain lines under the sink, reinstall new concrete for the slab. Service Plus is not responsible for flooring, this covers up to 20 feet of piping". *** also added "Drain cleaning, I attempted to clear the kitchen sink drain line. This is not a guarantee the drain will be cleared. Service Plus is not responsible for damaged drain lines". I told *** I didn't agree with him and the flooring in my kitchen and living room was very expensive and I'm not about to destroy them. I paid *** $88 for the "drain cleaning" and sent him on his way. When I informed my wife of ***** quote we were both very upset because we are both on fixed incomes. Then I realized that since I now had a damaged inside water line my ********************* could repair it. I contacted them and told them that Service Plus damaged my water line. They sent out a plumber that ran a camera through my lines and told me my lines were fine and he repaired the line that *** broke. Today is 09/20/24 and my lines are still fine. I've dealt with a lot of Reputable General Contractor's in my past employment as a claims investigator, but this is the first time I actually met what I would call a "Shady Contractor".Review fromCathy W

1 starWe have had Service Plus come and "tune" our furnace and AC for several years. Each time they have come, they really don't do anything other than take pictures and tell us $1,000's of dollars of repairs that need to be done. At the last "tune-up" we were give a quote of almost $2,000 to fix something on our furnace. Today I had another company come who fixed that part for $20 and a $68 service call. We have never had Service Plus actually do any of the thousands of dollars of work they recommended over the years, yet they seemed to think our furnace was on the verge of breaking down. Today the service tech said our furnace was in good shape and should last a while longer.Do not use this company for servicing your HVAC system. Their mission is not to service anything but to try to sell you thousands of dollars of unnecessary work.Another interesting thing is they were always pushing to service our plumbing when they came out to our house. We always said a big NO to that.Review fromBrandon L

We recently signed up with Service Plus to conduct yearly maintenance on our HVAC system. On the day of the appointment, I was at work, but my wife was home to allow service tech ******************* into the house to conduct his service check of our 5-year old furnace. To my surprise, my wife called me at work following his hour-long inspection only to be told that we had some serious issues with our furnace. In speaking with ******************* over the phone, I learned that our heat exchanger was completely rusted out, which was causing an increase of exactly 32% to our utility bill, according to his report. I was told the system was unsafe for operation and was due for an upgrade. Let me remind you.this furnace is 5 years old. The company quickly sent out a sales rep later that day to try and push the sale of a new $18,000 system. Relying on my intuitions though, we brought in three additional HVAC companies following ******************* evaluation to confirm what we were being told. And to no surprise, those intuitions were quickly confirmed via thorough inspection. The surface rust, which I learned is not at all uncommon, was strictly on the faceplate of the heat exchanger..NOT on the heat exchanger itself. To our relief, our unit has since been deemed completely safe and in perfect working order. If ******************* was truly concerned, he wouldve taken the additional 5 minutes to actually disassemble the area of concern to inspect further. Instead, we were conveniently lied to in hopes of making the quick sale of a completely unnecessary piece of equipment.I have always been a firm believer in honesty and integrity, and what we received from Service Plus was anything but. While I listened to my gut and avoided the pushy scare tactics and complete waste of over $10,000, I know that not all of their customers will be so lucky.Service Plus Heating, Cooling , Plumbing & Electric

I needed a water heater. I asked service plus for a tankless model. They gave me a quote on a tankless heater with a reciprocating pump and stainless steel tank to get hot water quicker to faucets. The model with the reciprocating pump was a A2 model. They installed the unit and that night I took a picture of the tag to get the serial number. The model number had a S2 not an A2 meaning it didnt have the pump or tank that I paid for. Called the sales manager and informed him his employees installed the wrong unit. He had the salesman call me who told me I was confused. I said you sold me the model A2 with pump and tank, but you put the S2 one in which doesnt have it. He got upset and told me the A2 is the same as the S2 model the and they cost the same. He kept saying I dont know what I am talking about. I said what does our contract say, thats the unit I want. I want the A2 you sold me. He hung up on me.Two weeks of calling them many times and being ignored every time was so unprofessional. Finally I sent an email to the owner and the next morning the sales manager called me. Two and a half to three weeks later I got the heater I paid for. I called three times to get the proper paper work with the correct serial number so I can get a rebate from utilities company, but it was a waste of time they never returned my calls. They made mistakes which I understand, because I made a huge mistake hiring them, but not fixing it and ignoring customers I dont understand. I on the other hand I will correct my mistake by hiring someone else next time.Service Plus Heating, Cooling , Plumbing & Electric

I would not recommend this company. I had a leak in my crawl space, that I later found out was the actual water meter (**************** replaced the water meter for free). The Service Plus tech did recommend that I contact **************** as they cannot touch the water meter. However, he told me that my waterlines/pipes were in poor condition and gave me three estimates: the first estimate was to replace my entire waterline for $6,675.90. His second estimate was for 40 feet of spot repair at $2,274.79. His third recommendation was for spot repair at the "worst section" for $850.00. I had two other companies look at the waterlines/pipes in my crawl space and they both told me there was nothing that needed to be done. Service Plus tried to sell me $6,675.90 of unnecessary work! I called the office to complain and the receptionist told me she would let the owner know. It very much felt as though she was dismissing my concerns. I also never heard back from the owner. I would absolutely not recommend this company, under any circumstances, as they are untrustworthy.Service Plus Heating, Cooling , Plumbing & Electric
