    RETURNED MY ENGINE TO STEVE SCHMIDT FOR REPAIR WITHIN HIS 1 YEAR WARRANTY PERIOD. HE CONFIRMED IT WAS COVERED BY HIS WARRANTY. I PAID EXTRA FOR UPGRADED PARTS THAT FAILED. I PICKED UP MY ENGINE, HE HAD REASSEMBLED IT WITH AN INCORRECT CAM. HE SHIPPED THE CAMPART TO ME, I HAD ANOTHER SHOP INSTALL THE CORRECT CAM AND THEY FOUND ADDITIONAL REPAIRS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE WHILE HE HAD THE ENGINE APART. I SPOKE TO STEVE ABOUT THIS, SUPPLIED HIM WITH THE RECEIPT, HE AGREED TO MAKE IT RIGHT WITH ME. ORIGINALLY AGREED TO REIMBURSE ME IN SEVERAL PAYMENTS, THEN WITH PRODUCTS TO TOTAL MY EXPENSE OF $1596.19. I HAVE PURCHASED THE PARTS HE WAS GOING TO SUPPLY AS REIMBURSEMENT. I AM NOW SEEKING FINANCIAL REIMBURSEMENT OF $1596.19. STEVE SCHMIDT HAS BEEN NON-RESPONSIVE TO MY MESSAGES AND HIS COMPANY VOICE MAIL BOX IS FULL, DOES NOT ANSWER THE ***** AND I CAN LEAVE A MESSAGE. PLEASE SUPPLY PAYMENT OF $1596.19 ASAP, IT HAS BEEN 5 MONTHS, MY PAITENCE HAS EXPIRED. I HAVE ATTACHED THE REPAIR INVOICE FROM THE OTHER SHOP STEVE AGREED TO REIMBURSE ME FOR. THANK YOU.

    Steve Schmidt Competition Engines burned to the ground on January 24, 2024.  It was a total loss, but we have been able to salvage 95% of the customers engines. ******************** Automotive & Steve Schmidt Competition Engines are both now desolved.  I have opened a new company in a new location.  It took several months after the fire just to find a building to start the new company in, and we are still in the process of getting it set up with rooms, benches, equipment, etc. so we can be fully functional and take care of our customers.  It took 5-6 weeks just to get everything out of the burnt building, therefore it has been a major set back. Just to be clear, Steve is an employee at our new company, he is not the owner. We now have all of the customers engines in our new shop and will be working on them. They will be the first ones taken care. Steve understands everyone's frustration and is doing everything possible to make things right with the customers. Unfortunately, there is no possible way to get these completed in the time frame some of our customers are wanting.  Starting a business from scratch takes time, not just a couple of weeks.  As far as not being able to get through on the phone...our calls were forwarded to my personal cell phone first for about a month and then we purchased a cheaper phone just to handle the calls.  I am the only one that answered the phone, and I could not keep up with or take the 300+ phone calls we get in a day.  On top of doing my job on the business side of things. It is highly impossible to do.  Steve is going to do everything he can to make things right with the customers, they just need to be patient.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    They did not address my issue of repayment. The new company acquired all the assets of SSRE and also the debts. I done need an engine, just a simple check sent to me for the amount shown in the attachment. I have been patient longer than before the fire. This issue can be resolved by putting a check in the mail.

    Cam Shaft anf 9 titanium valves were not delivered. Shippin charges were billed twice. I ******** may parts to be delivered and the reinbusement of the shipping charges billed.

    The valves were shipped to the customer.  Shipping charges were not billed twice. The amount paid when the engine was shipped was the difference from what he had originally paid. Customer's ticket is closed out.

    I drove to Steve Schmidt looking for an engine for my car on10-13-2023. At that time I gave him a deposit. We talked a few days later and i was told it wasn't going to be ready in time for the race i had to attend 12-9-2023 so I canceled the order he verbally told me he was going to resend the money back on my credit card but never did. Now he has $6000 dollars and i still have NO engine

    ************** has sense came in and got his engine.  We refunded him some of the money he paid.  Parts have been on back order and have been hard to get the past couple of months.  Our policy is that there are no refunds due to the fact that these engines and parts are specific to each customer's needs.  The issue has been resolved and ************** did receive his engine and some of his money returned to him.
