I heard from the business on Friday. The director or head person in charge called me personally and let me know what was going on. I dont know how that effects my complaint. They are waiting for a death certificate to complete the process according to her.Customer Answer

Dear Sir
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. Your claim for your fathers estate is important to us, and Id like to explain whats happening behind the scenes.
When we began your case in September, we identified that ************************************ requires a certified copy of your fathers death certificate and your birth certificate before they can approve and pay out any funds.
Unfortunately, obtaining these records can be unpredictable, and delays on the vital record offices end have held up the process.
Please rest assured that Lauth Investigations has been actively pursuing the necessary documents:
1. submitted multiple requests to the ******************************************** and have not received the required document, which is the source of the delay.
2. We filed your claim last week and are in the process of obtaining the certified death certificate through another 3rd part agency to avoid further delay.
Ten months is a long time, and you deserve timely updates. In the future, I will provide you with a monthly written status report until the claim is approved. If any further information is needed from you, Ill notify you promptly so we can avoid any additional delays.

My Cousin was killed 2 1/2 weeks ago. As of now there is no will found and the next of kin are his cousins. There are 16 cousins total and 4 of us are close, we don't have relationships with the rest, however we are trying to reach them to get their information for our attorney. A few of them have contacted one of the 4 of us and are stating that a man by the name of *******************, who is employed by Lauth Investigations is contacting them and telling them that the state will take anything that is due to them, if anything and they will recover it but they are charging them 20%. They are relentless and telling them it's a timing sensitive matter and they need to sign expeditiously in order for them to not lose what they could be getting to the State. We well know that they will receive whatever is due to them free of charge so we all feel this is an unethical and misleading way to obtain a fee of 20% for something they automatically receive. The company is Lauth Investigations International. The "Case Manager" that is relentlessly contacting my family members is *******************. The phone numbers for him are ********************* and cell phone is ************. At least one of my cousins has signed due to the urgency they made him feel was required. We would like them investigated and we would like for them to void any signed agreements they misleadingly obtained in the matter of ***********************, who is my deceased cousin. I reject the response in its entirety. In fact their own report contradicts this statement. They could not get facts or names right. They did not contact me as advertised. They state that subjects name is m. When it is d. They ascertained drugs were probably being run, ******* begged me on a recorded line that they "felt they could get this guy", I have recordings proving he was running drugs, and according to recordings I will attempt to upload, lauth and associates stated I had $1200 left on my retainer. They are scam artists. There's no photos provided that even shows they did any surveillance at all. I requested all info by Jan 31st, which they failed to provide.

The original timeline did not account for the surveillance challenges involved in this case. While we completed multiple fact-finding investigations (both OSINT & HUMINT), the facts did not support your assertions that the subject or his associates were dealing drugs. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appearAs of December 12, 2022, I had, according to ************, $1200 left on my retainer. It was stated that I incurred no charges after December 12, 2022. Furthermore, your company's disregard for the time frame set forth in our contract, is the reason results were not obtained. I feel that from day 1, you, personally, misconstrued your level of service and expertise. It was your failure to properly work the case in a timely manner, that led to no results. You personally stated that you could work with law enforcement which was a blatant falsehood. The subject that I stated from day 1 as the key to the whole case, was not even investigated in any way until, after a new investigator because my "case fell through the cracks", on November 15th, after the entire investigation should have been completed. As for the email/phone mix up, you personally had both in prior conversations/email communications with me. This was a time sensitive case, I reiterated that several times and I was ignored. You were quick to take my money and disastrously slow to work the case, that is why there were no results. You did not provide services paid for in the time agreed on. As for the final report, it was riddled with errors and false information.
