I've used Bar Keepers Friend products for over 15 years, their powder and liquid cleaner. I've used these products on various surfaces listed on the bottle and can. One being my porcelain cook top. I purchased their new spray which uses the same main ingredient as the other formulas and listed the same surfaces. I used this spray on my brand new Whirlpool cooktop and it removed the finish of my stove in all the areas I sprayed. I reached out to them and the first ****** claimed it was because its ingredient contains Oxalic acid which is a plant based acid because supposedly that as well as tomato sauce and vinegar could damage my stove. I replied with documented screenshots of cleaning and care by Whirlpool disputing her claims and excuses. She then sent it to their Top Chemist who then blamed me that I didn't follow the instructions on the bottle and test the surface first. If I've used their products for over 15 yrs and ... if it states on the bottle it is safe to use on porcelain why would I test it again. It states to test on delicate surfaces because of etching and dulling. These surfaces include (fiberglass, plastics, anodized aluminum or brushed metal surfaces)Not porcelain. Porcelain is not a delicate surface. Basically neither took any responsibility for the damage resulting from their product . They just blamed me for using their product. I replied if it is not safe for porcelain as your Top Chemist stated then remove it from your bottle and replace my new cook top. I don't want to see anyone else have their appliances destroyed from this product. This is misrepresentation of their product being safe for porcelain. I feel I'm owed an apology as well as the $900 to replace my cooktop.

I purcahsed several dozen of the barkeepers friend (595g) powdered cleanser from Canadian Tire. Upon trying to use them, the power was solidified in multiple containers. I was directed by the store to contact Bar Keepers Friend. I contacted them and spoke to *****. She advised me that it is a probloem wiht humidity that caused the product to ****** and become unuseable(she knew I was in ****** and exactly what the problem is - very clearly happens often)I was directed to email her details from the containers. I did so and after that, she has not responded to any of the emails sent to her (over the last several days).
