1 starI am writing to warn prospective movers about this company. Before I put down a $700 deposit for my move, this company called me consistently and would call me back quickly. After I put down my deposit I rarely heard from them. When a family member alerted me to the moving company scam of underquoting for a move and charging more later, I grew nervous and tried to call this business back. I couldnt reach anyone, which made me even more nervous. I began to research other companies and got estimates that were three times what this company quoted me. These companies turned these estimates around in less than a day. When I did finally reach someone at Nationwide after a week of trying, they told me their phones were down and they were trying to fix the issue. I asked Nationwide to give me an updated estimate. They told me they would get me one by the end of the week. They didnt. I asked again, an agent said they would get me an updated estimate after lunch. They didnt. I asked again telling them they had one more day to get me an updated estimate they never did. After I reserved a move with another company, they reached out to me. But did they have an updated estimate then? No! They reached out to tell me that they were sorry that they were busy and werent able to give me an updated estimate when I asked because I reached out early. I ended up moving with the other way more responsive company. While I ended up losing $700 on my deposit, they ended up losing several thousand dollars in business. They thought they could use my deposit to trap me. They were wrong. My loss was worth not having to worry about whether my companys phone lines were down or if they would be too busy to reassure a nervous customer. Dont fall for this companys folksy charm or low prices. They care nothing for their customers, and couldnt even be bothered to respond to my final email complaint. Save your sanity dont book with this company.Review fromKait B

1 starProbably the worst experience of my crazy move across country. They were very responsive when it came to taking my reservation. I believe they save your number and do not answer once things start to go south as they have texted me when I called outside business hours. My customer service rep has changed without warning, so texts were going unanswered. It states you can email for a faster response, so after several calls and two voicemails, I emailed. No response. Called four times in a row as their "que" is a short minute long. Finally got an answer and a fast text for when they couldn't find information. Stated I was disappointed as my price tripled from the original amount and they were taking longer to bring me my stuff. No response. Another text, no response. A valid question in a text, no response. Hoping to have my stuff a week and a half after we requested it. But we'll see. Don't use them, go with a larger company as they will actually respond with any and all questions. I'm scared they'll never come. We're sleeping on air mattresses and only have five outfits each, with two little kids because we were told it would only take 2-3 days and no Sunday deliveries.Review fromTesia S

1 starI wish I had done more of an in-depth search on this company before agreeing with them. I see why they removed their business from ****** reviews and other review companies as well. First, my items were professionally done by Easy Road Moving and Storage but I had some damage to some of the items. Including an antique hope chest and a few chair that had some damage due to the blanket being wrapped. But over all, compared to other movers, they were the most professional. Secondly, I had insurance on these items that I paid extra from the broker because I knew the items might/could be damaged. Heres the kicker, the broker refused to acknowledge it. ************************* with Nationwide Moving and Storage LLC, stated the following We also noticed we never received a payment for the increase in cubic footage during QA which would have totaled over $700 for the 128 cubic foot increase. We are unable to refund. Keep in mind the items that were in the 300 sqft were the items that were damaged. The additional items in the 128 cubic feet were additional boxes which we paid the drivers on arrival. Now if the drivers did not pay the broker thats not my problem and I told them. Here was the response,You did pay at pick- up and delivery, correct. However, after finalizing the inventory adjustments with *****, we never collected the ***************** payment that would have went into your deposit. Your total estimate increased, but the deposit stayed the same. That is why we would not be in a position to refund. However, I do apologize for the extensive damage. Keep in mind this was paid to the driver because the driver refused to take the items until they knew what they were taking. So we paid for a claim that they refused to allow me to submit even though I had insurance with this move. Do not use them for a broker they will take your money charge you more and not allow you to file a claim. Even though you paid for the insurance.Review fromStacey K

1 starWorst experience of my life ! I should have read all these awful reviews ! ******************* helped me and I was foolish and fell for his convincing customer service He gave me a ***** Window and then ALL communication ended I called repeatedly as I was moving from *********** to ******* ******* for a new job , no return calls and given the run around When I finally spoke to the "actual moving company " **** told me the fine print allows up to 30 days to deliver. I was quoted $4819 based on an inventory I covered 3 x yet when the movers arrived it was almost $2000 more I have not heard from anyone until today and I heard from the driver saying they would be here tomorrow and started adding "fees" to what I owe. It's been incredibly stressful with no communication unless initiated by me. When I move back to ***** - I will definitely use an actual mover and NOT a broker whose dishonest , full of false promises and has zero communication skills.Review fromJoann T

1 starwould give it a minus if i could. contracted with them only to find out that they subcontracted it out to another company (next stop). i never would have used them if i knew this. they never tell you and i thought i was using them. they (next stop) were over a week late with delivery. had many items broken and also water damage on other items. insurance won's even cover the cost of one item that was broken. and i have no clue how items got water damage. i give both companies a minus star as both did not fulfill what was contracted for. next time i will listen to friends and rent a truck and move myself. i do not and will not recommend either one to do any moving for others. be warned, they are the worst.Review fromNicole G

1 starTerrible company! Do not give them your money. I regret not doing further research before trying to utilize the company for my move. The communication was excellent until the days I was scheduled to move. My provided pick up days were Jul. 29 or Jul. 30 2023. I was contacted by a representative a few days saying that my mover would contact me 24hrs before my pick up. No one ever did, I called back on the 30th and was told the movers would arrive that evening by 7pm. On Jul. 30, 2023, 7pm can and no one had called or arrived, I tried calling Nationwide Moving and Storage LLC back but no one picked up. Around 8pm that night the movers called to tell me they would not be picking up my items and would have to come the next day. This completely inconveninced me and I had to pay to have my flight rescheduled. The next day I contacted Nationwide again, they told me someone would come. Eventually it got to the point they kept pushing my time back and no one provided me with solid information. The movers finally called saying they were in route but would not arrive until 8pm (AFTER my schedule flight), by this time I had already recheduled my flight and could not afford another inconvenince, not to mention I was already support to have been out of my old apartment. After being contacted by other legit moving companies I was informed about all the things going on with this company. They take advantage of people by trying to offer the best prices and do not care about inconveniceing customers. After giving me the run around, I still tried to have hope but ended up having to move my items myself, pay for a storage and u-haul rental.Review fromGiovanni W

1 starOne of the worst moving companies ever. This company is not what it seems and is simply just a broker that gives you a bogus quote, sells your contract and then you are scammed out of almost double the original quote. The third party company they send out to you then tacks on a few more hundred dollars and at that point theres no way to back out. Your things wont be in time to your destination, you have to hound the 3rd party company down through Nationwides customer service who mysteriously cant give you any concrete answers and cannot give you a number to call someone who can. When you finally receive your items theyll be broken!!!!! 3/4 of my flat screen TVs have been destroyed. You pay extra for them to pack up specific items only for them to arrive broken. I havent reassembled my peloton but I swear if it is broken I am going to have a conniption!!! Overall DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!Review fromAmanda M

1 starThis rating should be a zero!!! Horrible company. It was never disclosed to me that they were brokers and not a legit moving company. I was given 7/24- 7/25 as a pick up date. Movers never called or even showed up for the stuff I was having moved. So Now i'm out $850 because i did a wire transfer and looking for another way to ship these items
