The Turnquists signed a traditional residency agreement with Marquette on 10/13/23.   Section 6.2 of the residency agreement provides for a refund of the unamortized portion of their entrance fee within 30 days upon re-occupancy of their apartment.  The Turnquists are asking for the refund now rather than waiting for the re-occupancy of their apartment.  Marquette is following the agreed upon terms of the contract as we do for all of our residents.  Accordingly, we will be refunding the unamortized portion of the contract upon re-occupancy of the apartment.

Thanks for your call regarding the Turnquists concern regarding the timing of the refundable portion of their entrance fee.  The Marquette resident contract, has a refund clause that is standard for the **** industry that provides for making the refund upon receipt of a new entrance fee for the vacated apartment.  We received a new entrance fee for the Turnquists apartment on December 30th and per the terms of the contract will make a refund to the Turnquists withing 30 days.  Please let me know if there are any further questions or concerns.
