On Monday, 4/3/23 I had an appointment with groomer (*************************) owner of Cruelty Free Dog Grooming. We discussed at length the service she would provide. During our conversation, I specifically told her not to shave my dog. She also requested that I send a picture. I requested that she only remove an inch to 1 -1/2 inches.. telling her that I liked his cute fluffiness. He HAD a smoothe, beautiful, two-tone coat of ************ adorable! I've had my sweet Pomeranian 15 years. Very lively & energetic. The owner (*******) requested that I text a picture depicting the length that I wanted..I immediately complied. She left with my dog. Two hours later upon returning with my dog, she had shaved my Pomeranian completely bald!!! I never received a call/text letting me know that she felt a need to shave my dog, reasoning, and ask me for permission..which she wouldn't have received. I feel violated. He loved me running a comb/brush through his coat of beautiful hair. I trusted ******* to do the job that I requested!! Groomer/Owner failed to deliver service that was agreed to beforehand! She stated she did what she felt was best for him....... whatever that means!Groomer/Owner disrespectfully performed a service to my dog without my knowledge, permission. Pet owners have every Right to be advised beforehand by ********. Thus, giving me an opportunity to take him elsewhere.Cruelty Free Dog Grooming violated our agreement!

Senior customer has been out of touch with the company since December of 2021 which is the last time this pup was groomed; before last week. Biscuit the pup in reference came to the salon covered in fleas and had to be treated for bites. The website clearly stated all dogs must be treated with an oral flea treatment prescribed by vet to enter salon. I gave the customer a flea treatment and ********************** and the pup was able to tolerate brushing without any overstressing. After 2 years since his last grooming he showed signs of coughing when standing during no activity and has a swollen jaw from his rotting teeth. He was matted from head to toe and a comb could not go through anywhere. Senior dogs are what we do here and the company is here to make the dogs feel thier best. ******* was matted and any tiniest pull on his hair he would react by making a loud noise and trying anything to run away. He is also not seeing so well and trying to bite the clippers and me but thank got his teeth are soft because he took a bite at my arm and the brush. For the safety of this senior pup I have recommended that his heart be monitored by a veterinarian specialist and his skin have treatment from not having a bath or grooming in 2 years. We do not brush matted dogs at this business and choose humanity before vanity. The dog in reference is not in good health and no customer service will ever condone mistreating a dog in our care no matter what the owner has dilusions about. Especially when the dog has not been cared for and they lie in a business review. This customer was asked not to return and has retaliated with lies. We stand behind always doing what is right and best for the pups. This examples why we call the business cruelty free but maybe they like being cruel to very old frail and fragile animals so they look pretty in thier mind instead of happy and comfortable.

I expected lies as their defense:Firstly, this company is inferring that I totally depend on their company for grooming. This is completely false! How absurd to state my dog hasn't been groomed in two years, simply because they haven't seen him in awhile! Cruelty Free Grooming is not the only player in town. For the record, I also utilize the services of **************** which can be confirmed! Clearly, customers have options. Next, I find it hard to believe that my dog was matted to this degree. Such an exaggeration!!!Biscuit loves when I comb and brush him. Matter of fact, prior to *******'s arrival he sat perfectly still as always, wagging his tail. ******, I'm truly sorry that he snapped at her. I don't want my dog to snap at anyone. Perhaps she was being too rough. At any rate, my sole complaint is that the groomer and I talked at length about the service she would perform. I left strict instructions. She said ok. I even sent pictures per her request! Imagine my shock when I got him back. A verbal agreement is contractual! Furthermore, once she got into the groom, if later she felt a need to do anything other than what I agreed to she should have afforded me the privilege of being informed prior to her taking further action. Thus, granting me an opportunity to accept or refuse the service. I love biscuit and I always want to do what is best for him. In this case, the groomer overstepped and she failed to inform and comply with the verbal Customer/Owner Verbal Agreement. She is fully aware that I am not pleased with her service. I told her in no uncertain terms that she was unprofessional, and violated our Agreement! I told her that she was wrong to have not gotten my permission. Before she left, I adamantly told her in no uncertain terms that her services are no longer needed & that I will never allow her to groom my dog again! She replied, "I'm sorry you feel this way". She has completely lied about letting me go to save face! Clearly, I will never allow her to groom biscuit again.******* wrote that I am lying and leaving a poor ****** review out of retaliation for being dismissed. I dismissed her. Retaliation for what? Not sure what ******* is s saying I lied about. *******, did you or did you not let me know that you were going to shave my dog bald? Did you or did you not go against my strict instructions not to shave him? Did you or did you not let me know of your intentions and get permission..??Where's my lie? Yes, I certainly left a poor review. Irrespective of the groomers reply, clients reserve a Consumer Right to be treated fairly, respectfully as well as being completely Informed of an expected/paid service/goods to be supplied. Never take it upon yourself to shave a dog completely bald without a clients knowledge or consent Period
