On 4/5/2024 at 3:30PM I put $1000 cash deposit on a **** Deere gator. I called the next morning 4/5/2024 at 8:00AM to tell them that i changed my mind and did not want to buy it I was told that they would not refund my Cash. There is nothing on my receipt stating that they would not refund my cash. I did not take possession of the Gator. I even ask if they would split it and i was told NO because they did modifications to it by removing the doors. (To remove the doors take less that an hour) I was told BY them that they are a family company and could not afford to refund. I have text messages showing what i have said is correct and a Hand receipt that i never signed

We're disappointed to see that you left us a bad review here. As we explained to you in our text message conversation, deposits are non-refundable for several reasons: Firstly, a deposit is security for the buyer's performance of a contract. Once we take your deposit, we must fulfill our end of the deal by holding the item until the agreed purchase date...Which we were more than willing to do. Secondly, the agreement you worked out with the salesman was for the Gator to be modified by having certain accessories removed in order to lower the purchase price of the Gator. Although you may feel this work was trivial, it can be quite burdensome, especially for a small business like RH Motorsports. We only have one mechanic who is contracted to perform work for us. So having him modify that *****, as you requested, and then undo the modifications after you backed out was taxing on our business operations. More so because we consistently have work that needs to be performed on the other Gators that we have in stock. Lastly, when a Gator is removed from our online platform and marked "pending" at our warehouse, we potentially lose out on sales that other customers would have fulfilled. In order to mitigate these issues we require customers to pay a non-refundable deposit when a purchase agreement is made. While I do understand your frustration, I can assure you that this is a standard practice in the powersports/equipment industry.

I also want to note that during our conversation, we did agree to make an exception and allow you to redeem in-store credit for a one-year-period after the date the deposit was paid. We thought this seemed like a fair resolution for both parties as we're not in the business of taking deposits from potential buyers that ultimately back out of deals. Our main revenue stream is selling pre-owned Gators and we try our best to do this while remaining fair to our customers and ourselves. I do want to make it clear that we are still willing to uphold our agreement; there is a credit on file for you until 04/05/2025.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thank you.

I have NOT ended this complaint!

I have not heard from them in anyways or tried to take care of the issue and would not suggest anyone doing business with them as they have shady work ethic!

Again, we're disappointed to see your response here.

I want to share a screenshot of the conversation that took place back in April. You seemed much more understanding of our position at that time. In fact, you're the one that asked for in-store credit, which we agreed to do for your as a courtesy. Furthermore, after we agreed to the resolution you proposed, you went on to indicate that you would possibly come back later this year.

I don't think it is fair to say that this issue hasn't been resolved, as we were under the impression that we reached an amicable resolution with you at the conclusion of the text message conversation.

As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

    Thank you.

I was under the impression I had $1000 credit from them but I guess not !!
i only have credit for a new JD Gator that I do not need as I already purchased one somewhere else due to bad customer experience. All I was asking for was accessories way less than the $1000 I was taking at a loss from me. you would think they would jump on the chance to take care of this issue to still make money.

Sir, as we explained to you the other day, we DO NOT sell accessories. The only items we sell are pre-owned **** Deere Gators. Unfortunately, we can't apply your credit to something we do not sell.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
