      We went to the Speedrome on the night of August 24 for the 1 hour endurance race. We paid the general admission pricing and then decided we wanted to check out the action in the pits. We walked around to the pit side, to get passes. The Speedrome refused to give the price already paid off the price to get in the pits. They are double charging people at their events. I spent $50 to get in for general admission, it shouldve been $50 for two in the pits. Instead they double charged us admission again at $103.

      We do have a corporate policy that used general admission tickets (tickets not in complete form) cannot be upgraded to the more expensive ticket (pits).  The reason for this is someone could hand their used general admission ticket through the fence for someone to use to upgrade to the more expensive pit ticket, saving the cost of the general admission ticket.  We do allow for an upgrade if the general admission ticket is not used (in complete form).  I am not sure if these tickets were used but would be willing to reimburse the customer the difference between the pit and general admission ticket of $53.00 or two free pit passes for any or the remaining 2024 events.  

      We are sorry about this and will make sure our staff understands this policy.

      We have a corporate policy to not allow upgrades from general admission to pits ticket if the general admission ticket is used.  We determine if the ticket is used by if it is complete form or torn.  The reason for this is someone could hand their used ticket through the fence to someone who has not purchased a ticket, and they could upgrade to a pit ticket and save the general admission ticket fee.  If the ticket is in complete form and not torn our staff has been instructed they can upgrade the ticket to a pit ticket for the difference in the ticket fees.  I am not sure if the groups tickets were used but I am willing to refund them the difference they were doubled charged, $53.00 or 2 pit tickets to any of the remaining 2024 events.

      I am sorry for the confusion and will make sure my staff in aware of this policy in the future.

      I filed a previous complained about overcharging for pit prices after buying tickets. I never received my money from this business about the original dispute. Original complaint number is ********. The business never followed through on paying me back.
